FolkArt Metallic Acrylic Paint in Assorted Colors (2 Ounce), 654 Amethyst

Nice color, dry fast, right amount. For better results I should have put one layer of primer; otherwise you would need to paint many layers to get the right color.

This was used to paint the raised lettering on a mailbox sign. The color is perfect for what I needed. I thinned it with water to get a smoother finish. It took longer to dry because of that and required several thin coats, but the end result is an extremely durable finish. Great Purchase.

It’s more of a transparent paint so it takes a few coats but works well. I watered it down a bit so I could use it on a doll project!

Bought a metallic gold color just before Christmas and unlike other brands these weren't marked way up because of their potential holiday use. A couple bucks a bottle is a great price for any craft activities and we do a lot here! Color application is easy and pigmented well, this one in particular was used on plastic. I did end up doing 2 layers just in case but it was very pretty and didn't show line marks like another used the same way. The ads color photo was also very accurate!

Beautiful shade, great quality. However I belive I got a returned bottle and they didn't make sure the lid was screwed on before tossing it in the bag . New ones have that plastic ring to secure the cap since it didn't have one and I'm assuming they didn't check the lid paint spilled inside on my items.

Very pretty and great price. Only wish there was a darker amethyst. Plum and violet shimmer didn't seem to be what I wanted.

I'm in the process of making a highly detailed wood stagecoach model. and wanted a metallic finish for the rims. Although this paint had a nice metallic finish, the tint was way too light to look realistic on my project. I decided to mix some black acrylic paint with this. Results are very impressive. The final project still has a metallic glow about it, and has the appearance of what one would expect on these wheels. The wheel rims are oak. and the paint coverage is very good.
