This is an excellent toy. Its durability is its biggest quality. My three-year-old thinks all balls are to be bounced, so many times he throws it onto the floor, but so far, no cracks, no breaks, nothing. The finishing is not completely perfect, so a star lost there. Only difficulty is that the slices of this ball are difficult for a child to pull out and fix again. It requires greater strength and finesse than a child is capable of, and so an adult needs to be around to put it together.

I got it for my 1 year old. It's quite heavy. The slices(parts) can be detached by adults, but not by the kid. It's quite tight. It's fun too, vibrant colour and quite distracting when you detach and assemble it again. It's a good mental exercise for kids to identify colours and shapes.

I like the ball ok ...it's certainly heavy for a two year old , what I do not like is there is no write up or the pics that were there on the product at the time of placing the order ,,, to make other things out of the peices ,,
