Bought the medium set for a 6 yr old. The pads fit, she is a smaller build. I don’t think they will last until she is 8 yrs old though as they are a bit tight already ... especially the gloves. She fell while wearing them on her scooter and thanks to the knee and elbow pads there was no ouchies. The pads took the road rash well and only show light scuffs on the fabric ... no tear or fraying with a low to medium speed wipe out. Overall very pleased

We got the medium size pads for my almost 5yr old daughter and it's a great fit. There is a bit of extra strap that just hangs off (wish there was a way to velcro it down) but means there's room to grow. She is very comfortable wearing all the pads and even the gloves fit her great! Some reviews mentioned the gloves being way too small but we did not have that problem. All the gear fits easily into the drawstring bag so it's very convenient for travel. She has not fallen down in the pads yet, but I am confident they will provide the protection she needs. I think these thicker fabric pads are much more comfortable than the hard plastic pads. I also chose these because they said they are Oeko-Tex certified (made with safer chemicals for health) and that was important to me. We are very happy with this purchase and my daughter loves putting on all her gear to go on her scooter!
