This kilim is inspired by 19th century Guzelhisar kilims, because the weaving in that region has ceased and is now an agricultural area. The design of this hand woven piece is of an overall pattern consisting of a repeated large hexagonal star shape. The structure is slit weave with fine medium wool threads. Colors are rich and dynamic, which is consistent with the 19th century originals, but the design is simplified and more airy. The kilim is well suited to liven your environment with hand craft art of the old world.
