Is this really machine washable? How does it hold up? Does it give directions for what setting to use?

Yes, they are machine washable. We wash ours on cold with other clothes (haven't had issues with bleed through and we have the orange and pink rabbits, and the brown bear). I would recommend air drying or drying on a low heat cycle. The pink rabbit got run through on high heat (thanks in-law's) and is no longer super soft, although it is still soft. Have thought about replacing that one for that reason only. My kids love them.

What material is the inside lining of the ears? Is it cotton, silk, satin or?
