The Vestil Ergonomic Chair is a sturdily built (easily holds my 200 lbs) easy to use product. The seat is comfortable, and in my case, makes astronomical viewing very easy. The grip of the chair is solid at all positions and it is readily adjusted to any height between 18” - 33”. I tested the chair at the 33” setting and found it to be solid enough for sitting and viewing....limited wobble and no worries of it collapsing. It is really an essential and necessary, but boring, piece of, in my case, astronomical hardware. And, it is a product that, once you use it, you wonder how you got along without it. Buy it, you’ll star gaze in happiness.

Great little chair. I use it for astronomy and have two different mounts I use it with. It has a small footprint which in the photos make it seem like it might be unstable. It really isn't. For astronomy this is actually a plus as it has to work its way between tripod legs depending on your vantage point to the eyepiece. It is light and very simple to move and readjust in height which you will do a lot during a typical night of observation. With the seat positioned where it is you have somewhat of a footrest with the lower support bar below it. It feels like a bar stool allowing a 270+ degree arc to swing your arms through because it has nothing on either side of you in the way. I weigh 200# and it has no trouble holding my weight throughout the height range. To adjust the height you just tilt the seat upward and move it to the desired position and let it fall back into place. It is held rigid by friction due to your weight. The last huge plus with this model is the fact that it folds flat like an ironing board. You can easily place this in the trunk of the smallest of cars. Highly recommended.

The price seems to be inflated for this adjustable chair, but it is well built and extremely solid. If I needed another one, I would buy it again, even at this price, because I could not find many other options. The max weight capacity says 220 lbs on the chair, the product description on Amazon says 300 lbs, I feel that 220 would be the max. The chair itself is rather light weight which makes it easy to carry. Even at the highest sitting position, it does not feel tippy at all. I am happy with this purchase. No shipment tracking was available, but it arrived within the promised delivery window.

Purchased this chair for visual astronomy in my backyard. I own a 10" dob, 3.5" refractor with az tripod mount, and a 5" newt with an eq mount. Im 5'11 and 150#. First off, packaging was okay. For the price i would have liked to see bubble wrap around the whole chair. Instead it was cardboard basically molded around it with a plastic sleeve in the shipping box. The seat was secure so it probably didn't wobble around too much during shipment. Thankfully mine was fine with no dents, scratches, etc, and no missing parts. Comparison- I was looking at the vestil 600 mostly because of more seat padding. I didnt like design of the 600 chair which would only do 2" increments. Wanting the option of minor adjustments I went with the 800 over the 600 version. The other comparison was with the SB chair. I liked the idea of sitting lower to the ground with my tripod or dob mount. This would keep as many stray lights below the fence line as possible. The two are very similar in the way the seat adjusts. SB chair is more padded and doesnt have a foot rest. Ended up with the 800 because it was a little less money. Figured i could live without the extra padding and makeshift something if it wasnt enough. For me, the padding is fine! Im usually up and moving between a couple of scopes and bringing the chair along. The standing break probably helps, but I have been seated for a good hour and have zero issues with soreness etc. To sum up, very happy with this chair! Use it almost every day unless clouds or weather dont allow me to. Surprisingly stable on a slight decline! I don't feel like I'm going to fall forward. The footrest is well worth it for times like this for stability. Also, when the chair is almost at its highest point my legs don't have to dangle below. This chair can easily fold in half, is light weight, and can be carried in as one piece. I cant say the same for the 600 version since that seat seems to be separate from the frame. Have never used the 600 but something to look into. The ease of seat adjustment on this style frame is so easy! I literally move my butt off the seat and can make an adjustment without having to stand completely up, turn around, and move to the next increment. Ive read a review about the seat rollers wearing over time. I agree, for the price of the chair they could have designed something a bit more durable. For me, i do see indentation spots from my body weight over time. But i should be able to take apart and rotate these to a new spot (see picture). (Lose 1 star for this and repurposed seat). There are chairs that can handle more weight, but this is perfectly fine for me. I wouldnt hesitate to purchase this chair again if need be. Prices are going up and from what ive seen rarely if ever go on sale. Hopefully this review will help you make a decision.
