It is much more cost effective to purchase this here than in the supermarket. This is a great alternative to laundry stain removers and even detergent. It also works perfect with white vinegar as an all-purpose clear and drain cleaner.

This Trade Chemicals Sodium Bicarbonate Baking Soda is well worth having in your house due to the amazing versatility of the substance. Being non-toxic it can replace a lot of products that are toxic and also cost much more. You also cut down on packaging if you use this to replace store bought cleaners. I dont think Sodium Bicarbonate can replace all store bought products but can definitely reduce the need for a lot of them. It wont remove stains like turmeric from work tops for example whereas bleach will remove these type stains. I recommend also buying white vinegar in bulk and combining the two substances when cleaning pots, ovens, sinks, etc, etc. It is always fun to see the effervescent bubbling when mixing the two. Another great use for this product is eliminating odors. I use it in the bottom of my cat litter tray (in the lower tray not actually in contact with the cat). I have a smaller litter tray on top with perforations in it, that sits on top of a larger one to allow the woodchip litter to fall through once it disintegrates through use. It wont harm the cat but may lead to dusty paw prints all over the place. It is great at reducing the smells. Also used with great effect on towels & t-shirts that had a residual musty/moldy smell that continual machine washing couldn't budge. The powder has mild abrasive nature to it so can be used for mild scrubbing of surfaces but also good to exfoliate your skin and brush your teeth with. I have found it useful on cracked lips in winter as a way to safely remove dried skin. In summary Sodium Bicarbonate is a cost-effective, non-toxic, low-packaging waste product that can be used in literally 1000's of ways. This product is well priced and comes with a sturdy reusable tub that will keep it safe from moisture.

Old wife's remedy that works, two table spoons added to toilet bowel add vinger wait for the reaction flush, blockage cleared.Great for cleaning stains off worktops also. Good product.Dont get confused this Sodium Bicarbonate although cheaper than cooking bicarbonate is not for cooking.
