Uniball Vision Elite BLX Rollerball Pens, Assorted Pens Pack of 5, Micro Pens with 0.5mm Ink

(Serious part of this review: this series of color-infused gel ink pens is a sophisticated spin on subtle color. It comes out as a rich black with a hint of color. There's nothing flashy or immature about these pens. You can use them for business, but that subtle color adds just enough of you.)I can't blame uni-ball. I have a pen addiction, but I hadn't bought a single pen in... well, a really really really long time.Then my sister comes home with one of these magic uni-ball black-infused-with-awesome pens and yeah, it was cool and everything. Like, crazy cool.The next day (hey, it was my day off) I went all over town trying to find these pens. Normally, I just hop online, but... pens.I found the thicker ones and bought one pack for my sister and one for me. But was that the end of it? Of course it wasn't. I jumped onto Amazon (you know, the pen dealer) and ordered the fine, and also the retractable, because come on. Who doesn't love retractable pens?I really hope they don't come out with more styles. I'll have to get a third job.

I've always loved using this particular brand of pens. They have a perfectly even ink flow, they always feel well made and the cap has always snapped securely to the pen. I was interested in these for the color though, of course, and first I have to say that they are kind of hard to distinguish from one another at a glance. (Especially if you're damn near color blind). However, once you do pick out the color that you want to write with the ink looks great. Like everyone says it's just subtle enough to notice but definitely not intense enough to overwhelm. 15 dollars is a bit steep in price but that coming down to around $3 a pen.... Suppose that's about normal these days. That said they last forever and they do use every last drop of ink.Great pens, great idea for color, acceptable price.

These pens are wonderful! They write as smoothly as any Uni rollerball, but have unique and beautiful ink colors laced with black. They nailed the classic blue-black, and the green-black and purple-black are well done. My favorites by far, though, are the red-black (stunning, high impact) and brown-black (classy, serene).Heck, these pens even look nice (at least for disposables). I like the bold version, as well, but they're a bit *too* bold for my taste, and they don't look nearly as nice. Sure, looks are a small thing, but both bold and micro are so good, it's one of the few differentiators between them !On thing to note: "Micro Point" is a relative thing. I find these to be more like a medium, or perhaps medium-fine, point.

I love the variety of colored ink but working in an office, it is frowned upon to use colors. These pens are an interesting combination of black and colored inks that allow me to be more expressive but also retain a certain level of professionalism. They write beautifully with an extremely smooth ink flow and the ink dries quickly.I bought the fine point version and can tell that it is now a new personal favorite. I am a sucker for a good pen and don't let others use my favorites. These will likely become a staple for me at work.It should be noted that they do still remain truer to their assigned hues than to black and so won't do for legal documents but for anything else I would say they are a "happy medium."

These are easy to hold and have incredible smooth writing! They are not exactly what I wanted, as I was looking for more vibrant colors. However, that was my fault for not entirely reading the description. They are black hues, with a hint of color in them. I wanted something brighter for personal use. However, these are great pens and I will absolutely use them in the workplace. I could not be happier with these pens and they will be used in my office!

Great pens. ABSOLUTELY NO SMUDGE. The color, although cool to have color mixed with black ink, is a bit weird. It's not black, nor is it the color it purports to be. It's still pretty cool. The writing is very good, nice edge. Some catch, so not the smoothest writing in the world, but decent considering it's such a fine point rollerball. Very good, but not the greatest.Would it kill the company to make this in a normal looking blue?

I should confess that I am a big fan of uni-ball pens and have a special appreciation for the Vision Elite pen. Like all of their pens, the quality is flawless, the ink dries very quickly to help avoid smudging. The Vision Elite produces a fine line that is always even and consistent. The draw for me to this particular set were the relatively newly released blx series of colors. The colors are very rich and unique. I especially like the brown-black, which creates a dark sepia like tone that looks great on the page. I ended up buying both the 0.7mm and the bolder 0.8mm sets.

I love these pens! They are my absolute favorite writing implement. I am old school and I love writing in cursive and take a lot of notes in the many meetings I attend for work and various volunteer committees -- these pens write so smoothly. I also love the colors! This is a repeat purchase for me -- probably the 4th or 5th time in the past years that I have purchased these given the amount of writing I do (and sadly, occasionally losing a pen). I have never had a problem with a single pen -- they consistently work great.
