Immediate 10 dB gain in signal strength
First, I am using this to provide an external antenna for my MoFI 4G cellular router. I use the router on the road, primarily for data communication, both when I am parked while camping and while I am actually on the road. The easiest, fastest way to boost cellular voice communication is by using WiFi calling, connected to such a device, since there is no way to add an external antenna to most cell phones, to improve signal strength. Where I had 2 bars, I now have 4. I have not tested this driving across the boondocks in Utah, Wyoming, or either of the Dakotas. That test will come, this Fall. Because it is also intended for MiMo devices (Multiple Input, Multiple Output), it can also take advantage of multiple towers in range as well as multiple channels fo input signal, as long as the device connected to it can also take advantage. That is why I chose it to pair with my MoFi device. Second, I wanted to mount it using existing holes in my RAM1500 roof. Since I have an after market radio in the truck and I do not use any of RAM’s built in GPS or Vehicle support links, I removed the existing GPS antenna wart and installed the Proxicast 2x2 Low Profile 4G/5G Omni-Directional screw-mount antenna in its place. I had to use a large washer on the inside of the truck, but there was plenty of room between the headliner and the roof. The antenna also includes a self adhesive gasket, to seal between the antenna and the roof. Be sure to clean the roof thoroughly before installing. Third, the delivery was fast. Although I am a Prime member, I didn’t pay extra for special shipping, so I had to wait for a 2-day delivery. (Sorry, I can’t help being a little sarcastic about how impatient people have become, expecting instant gratification). Everything I needed was in the box, especially since the antenna is equipped with SMA male connectors (standard screw-on for most systems, including mine). No, I am not including any logs, measurements, channel tests, or other technical information. I am reporting the information that people who do not work for the telecommunications industry would want to know, without being bored to tears by reams of data. It works better than the same device with an indoor antenna and it is better enough to justify the cost. I will be ordering more to install on other family vehicles.

Works great! Need companion connectors for most applications.
I used to get disconnected while playing video games in my semi truck over the road. Since I've upgraded to this new antenna my hotspot has not disconnected me once! I haven't mounted it, it's just laying on some cloth in an overhead storage compartment. I haven't been back to Georgia yet which is where the worst 4g-5g reception I've ever had is. So I don't know if it can mitigate the poor reception there. But I have high hopes given the performance increase I have thus far seen. See pic for the type of assembly that you may need to do. It's not for the faint of heart or those with fumbling fingers.

No significant improvement in signal.
I purchased this external external mimo antenna with hopes of boosting my 4/5G signal and after testing and moving to various locations did not see any significant improvement in signal. For an antenna thats fairly expensive I would have thought it would have produced better results

Proxicast 2x2 MIMO Omni-Directional Screw Mount Antenna
I use a Netgear MR1100 Mobile Hotspot Router. In some areas of poor cellular reception, I wanted an external antenna. The Proxicast ANT-121-M22 appears to be well made and it does improve cellular reception. My only issue is that the hardware nut used to secure the screw mount did not meet my expectation. My thought is that the supplied nut and lockwasher are cut to facilitate installation over the antenna cable. I replaced the supplied nut and lockwasher with a standard M12x1.0 nut. See the attached photo. Which nut would you choose to secure the antenna to a moving vehicle?

Be sure to purchase the correct extention cables for mimo. Need female to male.
Great antenna. Easy to install with bracket, and purchased the 4 mimo extensions. Be sure to buy the correct female to male connectors.

Disappointing performance on ANT-121-M44
Ran multiple tests on item connected to T-Mobile Arcadyan KVD21 via DHT Electronics 2PCS 20CM SMA Female to U.FL IPX IPEX WiFi Cable. Results were disappointing and worse than the basic unit stock antennas. Your 5g Wifi, location and specific needs may provide different results. Ping = average 147ms vs 60ms stock Download = 43gbps vs 80 stock Upload = .9gbps vs 10 stock 20 speed tests run for each configuration, through Ookla Speedtest App on Samsung Galaxy S21 plus. Same day and time of day, Unit rebooted between each configuration. Unusual highs and lows were kept and averaged in data sample. Two Nelawya 4G LTE/5G Sub-6 Antenna, Wide Band 8dbi 600-3980Mhz connected to D and M ports for $10 greatly out preformed the ANT-121-M44 and slightly improved stock results. Waveform 2x2 MIMO Panel Antenna for $99 connected to D and M seemed to out preform both, however, this unit is directional and testing was done at a different time and location on the road in my RV. My current configuration at home = T-Mobile Arcadyan KVD21, Two Nelawya 4G LTE/5G Sub-6 on D & M, Two 4G LTE/5G/CBRS 7dBi Magnetic Base Wide-Band Antenna Compatible with MOFI 5500/4500 ($20) on M1 & M2 providing consistent results. T-Mobile N41 Band, SINR -3, RSRP -113, RSRQ -8. 62ms ping, 82.6 down, 14.1 up, 12.5 jitter. A little better than stock but with moveable antenna the is much less reliance on unit placement.

A bit pricey but worth it
Set this up on a vertical 4ft PVC pipe on top of a big metal garage/workshop. No internet providers in the area, and only a faint AT&T LTE connection on the street. Used a TS9 splitter to run into a Netgear LTE modem. Running two bars from AT&T with this and could probably get more if I angled the antenna towards the cellular tower. But it works fine for now. There have been a few nights of below freezing and snow/ice storms and this worked through it all.

This antenna did not improve my signal.
I had high hopes for this antenna but it failed to improve my signal or internet speed. I mounted the antenna on a platform with an 8 inch metal ground plane underneath. My signal was actually worse than using the telescoping antennas that come with my modem router which is a Cat 18 Cudy LT18. I then tried using the antenna with just the bracket that comes with the antenna. I got the same results. I had the antenna mounted on the outside of a window and I temporally ran the antenna leads through the open window to my modem. I get better signals when my modem\router was located outside. So it might be better to just locate the modem in a weatherproof box outside. I do not know what is inside of the antenna housing but I can't imagine it is worth the price, especially when it does not improve signal quality or internet speeds.
