Hey John, Yes it will help transfer heat to your Heat Sink & it will keep your processor from sticking to the heat sink, especially if you practice OVER CLOCKING. When you apply the "Arctic Silver 5" you just need a little dab. You don't want it running over the edges on to the Socket & MoBo. You've made a good choice. This is a top notch product & Amazon is the cheapest place to get it. Plus Amazon is quick with shipping & courteous service. I Don't work for Amazon, I'm a customer just like you are. Q: Can I use this for my PS 4?

Well i use it on my ps3 slim with no problems. I dont see why it wouldnt work on your ps4. I have a ps4 too but haven't changed the thermal paste yet
