I got this for my M1A. I passed by this multiple times because of the 3.5 star rating. But for the deal price I figured what the heck. It seems 100% fine to me for a reproduction user sling. The metal parts are of good quality. I’m not sure why they were reviewed as sub standard?? Are they pointed and not parkerized, yes. Will the pint wear over time, yes. Are they mil spec no, but again it’s not being misrepresented as such. I think people have unrealistic expectations. One thing it does is function as intended. The strap itself is super rugged and the metal hardware is far from flimsy. I’d say give it a go if you need a sling for this type of rifle.

Got this sling for a m16a1 build and if fits the bill perfectly. It's made of a strong thick material.. definitely has the retro vibe.... honestly it looks and feels like most military slings from the time I'd recommend

The media could not be loaded.  Look at the photos I posted - you’ll see 2 darker tan slings that have terrible hardware - bad paint, poor design and fit, rusty, etc. in the third pic I show a lighter tan sling that has good hardware and I’ll keep it - but this explains why some reviews here rave about the quality being good and others call it trash. BOTH are available and you have no idea which one you’ll get.

It is a very useful rifle sling for competitive marksmanship shooting; where you are allowed to use a sling for support. It is very easy to use. The only disadvantage is it will stretch or shrink somewhat. A leather sling doesn't stretch or shrink as readily. . . . but this is much cheaper than a leather sling.

Perfect example of a GI sling. For Hunting or target work.

These have been my favorite slings since I was introduced to them as a young Marine.

Basic web sling, good stitching and fits my M1 perfectly. Better quality than I have seen at gun shows.
