The media could not be loaded. Upfront I will say that my video doesn't do this product justice as I am only using a USB powered air pump to run this filter, that said, it has worked quite well! I have used similar style sponge filters before and love the style of this one overall. Sponges can be easily removed to rinse and return and the media that is offered works great for nitrifying bacteria, but can be swapped for your own preferred media as well. The only limit to this filter is the strength of the air pump you attach to it. That said, no matter the strength, it works very efficiently. (My tank pictured is an overstocked 120g that is purely sponge powered, the older hobbyists were onto something when they used sponges, especially when you see the hobby having a resurgence of their use!) TLDR, this filter can be used for anything like bettas to cichlid colonies

Washable sponge. Can completely take it apart to clean. Works perfect for hatching fish fry. They don’t get sucked up a filter with this kind!
