Awesome toy
Great value! The ice cream was great and my kids loved it. I will have nice arms from the workout of making ice cream for them.

Fling Saltwater everywhere
This thing is cool in theory. If your kid doesn’t have a long attention span then cranking the gyro ball for a minimum of ten minutes is unrealistic. Also, the first one I had leaked so I reordered a new one. The second one doesn’t leak like the first but if you do it inside, the ice melts and sloshes around with the salt and spills out the side, flinging ice water droplets everywhere. It burns if it flings in your eyes so you better wear eye protection. Also it usually takes over 10 minutes for us and my toddler doesn’t spin it for a full 10 minutes on her own, so it’s me doing all the cranking. You can get a real ice cream machine for the same price. I gave mine away

Works, kinda
It’s a cute concept, but doesn’t quite hit the mark. Sure, it takes 10-20 minutes of crank time, but that is to be expected. However, for some reason the ice cream never quite solidified. I’ve tried different lengths of time and grades of cream/milk. The ice cream sticks firmly to the sides of the mixing container, but falls apart as soon as you get it out (best to use a bowl not cone). No need to worry about using the ice cream holders or drain. My best guess is that there is not enough room for the necessary amount of ice needed to make real ice cream.

Great idea, but annoying.
I was excited to get this product and was planning on using it at home as well as the preschool classroom. It isnt very user friendly and only makes a very small amount at a time. The mixing ball isn't as easy to insert as I would expect for a Little Tikes product. The kids were excited and loved it.

Broke after first batch of ice cream
Careful not to spin your ice cream too hard. After the first batch, the spinning lost it's resistance to allow the spin to move in all directions. Has never worked the same so seems expensive for a one use toy.

This idea of the crank was cute, but it makes a ridiculously small amount of ice cream: about a half cup. The maker looks cute with places for cones and toppings, but it's not really fun to serve one person. The rock salt and ice melted quickly (we even replaced half way) and leaked into the ice cream area, making it very salty. Yuck. Maybe ours was defective, but even without the saltiness, the amount of ice cream was not worth the cost, set up and process. Too bad, I wanted to love it!!

Leaks
Second use and the layer that holds the ice and salt was leaking all over. This contraption is mostly plastic and it’s a joke.
