Man These Are Tasty!
A classic "old folks" candy that really brings back memories. When I was a kid I remember my grandparents, on both sides, having these in their homes. In fact, it seems like pretty much all the older people, family or not, had a can of these or put them out in a candy dish somewhere. I couldn't keep my hands off of them! My mom would tell me I was being rude when I kept scarfing them down hand over fist instead of politely taking just a few. Of course the elders just chuckled and indulged me, maybe the kid in them still wanted to pound down candy with abandon too. As my visits with aging family and friends became scarce, so did this candy. Eventually it seemed to disappear altogether and I forgot all about it. All this may sound sappy and corny but it really is a warm memory of my childhood, so when I stumbled on these I couldn't wait to have them again! Initially I wondered if they would be "new and improved" which is code for a company completely ruining a classic product, either for marketing or because they found a cheaper way to make it. At any rate, I got my Peanut Butter Pillows which thankfully are Prime eligible so I only had to wait two days, and they are fantastic! Just like I remember! Maybe it's because I am getting older that I somehow uncovered these. Maybe there is this inner sanctum of Old People Candy and just like when you suddenly start receiving AARP brochures and emails, you magically gain access to all the secret ancient candy reserved for children and old folks. To sum up, these are delicious but watch out, they can be addictive!

Yummy!
I'm glad I gave 2 of the canisters away, or I would have eaten all 4. These are very addicting and oh so good. I really love the peanut butter taste. When I first tasted one it reminded me of old-fashioned peanut brittle. Then once it dissolved to the inside peanut butter center, it brought back good ole memories of my childhood. The next time I purchase these I will be ordering before Christmas, to add to my other candies and desserts. The only issue I had with my order was the fact some of the containers were slightly damaged and the candies at the bottom were crumbled. But, that didn't effect the flavor of course and I would not hesitate to order again.

Makes me feel 6 years old again!
I grew up doing elementary fundraisers in the early 90s. I remember getting these candies at that time. I Loved them. Over the last 10 years I kept asking people if they remembered them and/or what they were called. No one could tell me! Finally I just 'goggled' the description and these babies popped up on amazon! Bingo! My husband ordered them and I got them in 2 days. I ripped open the packaged and started right in. They were exactly like I remembered them. They have a hard outer candy shell with soft peanut butter inside. Now my daughter and I get to enjoy them together!

What a Disappointment, but then I tried the others, which were much better
I was really looking forward to getting home to eat these. First, about 50% of the can was broken and crushed pieces. That disappointed me, but I was still ok with it, as long as they tasted good. Unfortunately, pillows is not a good name for them. They were so hard, that my teeth and gums are still hurting me hours after trying to eat them. I really wasted my money on them. For the wellbeing of my teeth and gums, I will not be eating any more of them.Update: I did eventually open another can, one night when I was really craving something sweet. I have to say, the other 3 cans were much better than the first one. There were still lots of broken little pieces, and a few really hard, too hard to eat "pillows", but most of them were softer, and tasted delicious. I changed my rating from one star to three stars. The first can that I tried, might have been old, I do not know, but I am glad that I decided to try the other cans.

Memory in a bite
I finally found these! My grandmother always had them at Christmas, but by the time I thought to ask, no one but me remembered them. They taste and look just as I remembered.Mine arrived in good condition with only minor breakage. (They are crisp, so you expect some)They are delicious even for people without childhood memories of them

Christmas memories from yesteryear.
I chose the 4 star rating because, although these candies were very similar to the candies I remember getting for Christmas when I was about 5 years old, they were not quite the same. The ones from my childhood were a little smaller in size, not as "hard-shelled" and would almost melt in your mouth. Even so, without being exactly as I remembered, it was a real treat to find something as close as this to a candy I enjoyed as a kid over 50 years ago. It sure brought back some wonderful memories and was quite tasty! I have already shared my "find" with a few of my friends and have encouraged them to try some.

A good enough alternative to the Golden Crumbles
I loved those golden crumbles and kept an empty can for over a decade to remind myself to keep looking for a viable replacement. For the cost you really get a good deal on these. They have some overly hard bits, but this is my first can and I don't want to make an overall judgement based on 6 pieces eaten. For what you pay, these are definitely worth it so far. I'm glad for this purchase. Thank you for these.

Every delightful bite reminded me of my youth!
My siblings and I grew up selling and eating the Kathryn Beich Peanut Golden Crumbles. My dad would purchase cases from whatever fundraiser we were participating in because our family loved the peanut crumbles. Admittedly, I was near tears remembering my Dad while opening the first can... Shared with my sisters and two of us ate an entire can in a single day... respectively. We promised each other to not order more until Thanksgiving...
