I tried consuming Potassium Citrate Powder from Now, which costs much less and I can consume more easily as it is a powder. But its so extremely bitter and even when mixed in with soup or a protein shake, I can taste the grittiness of the powder and it taints the flavor in whatever I try to mix it. Also the powder form digests too quickly, causing some gastro problems.This table form includes buffers and digests more slowly and therefore is more gentle on the stomach and guts.

I just started to take a high dose medication that causes major muscle cramps, and I am not getting much sleep.Each tablet is smooth, easy to swallow, and does not have a fragrance or any taste whatsoever. This is good. Every pill has 99mg of Potassium Chloride, which is equal to a medium size banana. Since I can’t eat lots of fruit every day, without other side effects, I decided this might give me the boost I need to reduce my cramping muscles.This supplement is distributed by Purely Holistic out of SLC, Utah, but it doesn’t say where it was manufactured. I am trusting the distributor has great quality care department managers. The bottle is a year’s supply, taking one pill a day.I will update this review in the next week on what my outcome is after taking one pill a day.UPDATE, one week later. Taking two a day, one in the AM and one in the evening, and it is working well on reducing my muscle cramps at night.Recommended.

About 10 years ago I had an episode of AFib. They couldn't figure out what was wrong, but after they gave me a potassium tablet and got some good hospital sleep (true!) and it went away. That's why I sometimes take potassium. Also, I've been eating more salt, and my blood pressure went up, so I'm taking this in addition to lowering my salt intake.This is a great bottle of tablets, easy for me to swallow, (if you are sensitive to gagging, these do have slight ridges, but there are actually very soft and smooth to the touch.)365 tablets! RU kidding me. I like how it lasts a year. This is a great value for the money, has a great shelf life (with a BBD of 2024, and I bought it I think at the end of 2020), it should probably last me at least 2 years since I take it about every other day.

The potassium arrived less than a week ago, so I can't comment on product quality yet until the next blood work testing. But is was nicely packaged, the lid isn't hard to open. It arrived 2days early, so no problems there. The caplets are easy to swallow with no bitter aftertaste. The bottle is distinctively, but nicely, colored. Its cost is a bit more than the drugstore generic blends but are more easily available thru Amazon

Great product at a great price

I purchased this because I am on a low dose 25 mg blood pressure pill and want off of it. I usually run 140/72 but have been higher or lower, depending on amount of salt I eat. I realized I don’t get enough potassium in my diet so wanted to see if It helped so I could stop the pill. I take 2 of these potassium both in the AM and 2 in PM plus I added 8 ounces of low sodium V8 twice daily. Each 8 oz is 700 mg of potassium. That gave me 1800 mg daily which is still not enough so I eat 2 potatoes for supper with dinner which is another 600 for total of 2400. I understand we need up to 4500 mg per day depending on sodium intake. I went to the Drs on third day and I had taken the 25 mg BP pill but also had about 2400 plus of potassium and all I can say is MY DOCTOR wanted to stop the BP pill immediately. I was 107/54. I am usually around 140/72 even with the BP pill. It’s a delicate balance with sodium and potassium and each person must find what they need. Too much potassium isn’t safe either so be careful taking it. I have stopped the BP pill and now take this supplement twice daily and the V8 juice twice daily. I like this product because it’s easy to swallow and has no taste. I am currently at 2500 mg sodium daily maximum from what I have counted and 4000 max potassium and that appears to be good for keeping my blood pressure in the under 130 range with no pills. If I go out to dinner and have more sodium I will have extra potassium to counteract it. Each person must determine what is best for them.

Potassium chloride is the most absorbable of potassium. It seems to be a quality product, and like the 99mg tablets. It allows for more precise supplementation than larger 500mg or 1000mg tablets.

They changed the formula. Added a bunch of filler ingredients. Not excited about this.
