I have been using drawing tablets since 2001, and have in the past always gone with Wacom, but due to an accident at my desk, my Intuos was marred right in the center of my tablet making drawing on it at best a chore and at worst impossible. I had known of Xp-Pen for some years, and looked at the Deco Pro 2nd Gen, it had more features that my Intuos had, closer to my previous Intuos Pro, but at a much better price. So, decided to give it a try.First thing is the packaging, very well packaged. The setup was really easy, just plug it in a download drivers.The build quality of the tablet feels solid, and looks nice on my desk The Shortcut remote, feels less sturdy, but looks good and works well.Using the tablet took a few adjustments on my part (in the software you get with the drivers) as the pressure sensitivity wasn't to my liking, pressing as hard as I generally would for dark lines, barely made a mark but the adjustment was quick and easy, and once I did so it worked well with how I use a drawing tablet. The rounded edge is comfortable to have your wrist against, the surface has a finish that provides a nice tactile quality when using the pen.The shortcut remote is extremely handy, and can be programmed specifically for each program you use it with.The only issues I have had is the previously mention pressure, which easily corrected, and that the pen doesn't seem register rotation, and the erasure will only erase if the pen is held relatively upright when turned over.Overall a great artist / drawing tablet at a great price, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to save money on a solid tablet.Attached is a sketch I did in Clip Studio Paint using the XP-Pen Deco Pro 2nd Gen Drawing tablet.
