Had to get cause tired of grinding scale

Heat treated this knife with this foil. A2 tool steel…it’s a good product. Thick and durable.

Required item for high temperature heat treating if you don't have access to a controlled atmosphere muffle furnace. Handle with cut-resistant gloves and be sure to enclose an oxygen getter (piece of paper is sufficient).

What is there to say really? It's nice and thick, holds up to high temp very well, and is perfect for heat treating blades that need an air quench. Update: I did a batch of blades that needed a soak at 1950°f for 30 minutes and this stuff was more than ready for the challenge. I had done some lower temp stuff and after darn near 2,000° for a half hour I'm thoroughly satisfied. Although this is likely the upper limit of what the product can handle, it's plenty good for anything I may need. Don't get the cheaper stuff 'cause if you're using it for blades it's just a matter of time before you move to more complicated heat treats that require a quality O2 barrier, and this stuff will do it without hesitation.

Heat treated over 300 blades with this product. Just be careful, this stuff will cut like a razor if you aren't careful. Works great will be buying more in the future.

Roll had a big kink in it

Arrived one day earlier than expected, and in pristine condition!

Does the job nicely! It's quite thin and soft, which is great when you make folds. It does not burn at 2000F, the parts came out beautifully.
