Q: Mine will not work, power up or anything. Anyone have any sugestions?

After you plug it in, you have to hold the back fins down for about 10 seconds. It'll turn on. Then, when it does press the fins 3 times in quick succession to get it to blow out steam.

Q: I need to replace cord. Where can I find a replacement?

If you haven't found one yet, Best Buy sells power cords that come with different sized plugs that might work with this. Depending on what's wrong with your cord, it could be easily fixed by and electrician.

Q: How do you switch modes so that it will run on and off rather that continuous?ly

You press down on his back spikes once, he'll roar and then switch to intermittent mode. If you push down once again he'll go back to continuous.

Q: Can you put essential oils in the water?
