This is waxy. I rub it between my hands before I apply it. It also has a bit of shine to it that I love. The Twisted Fabric by CHI left my hair dull. Great product!

Q: How does molding clay compare to Twisted fabric?

Well I don't know what twisted fabric is. I do know that Chi Moulding Clay is an awesome product in my opinion. I am 60 and if it helps my hair it is great. When you apply a small amount all over your hair it gives it shine, and you can work your hair into any style you want. It separates or comes tiger for a great style. Highly recommend!!

Q: do you it on wet or dry hair

You use it on dry hair. Rub it between your palms and then into your hair. After rubbing it into your hair you can pull the hair out to be spiked or any other way you may want to try.
