A necessity if you live on a ranch! We have free range chickens, cattle, turkeys, barn cats and dogs. There's a lot of poop. This spray not only keeps flies at bay but also mosquitos. We have three of the auto-sprayers - one one each back door facing out and one on the front door facing away. You can choose the frequency you want it to spray...and I'd say they last about 3 moths. This is the best price we've seen for this item and other similar items were less quality. The smell is almost non-exsistant, not off-putting at all. Very effective.
