Great 2 egg poacher. Washed all parts with hot water and detergent before using, as directed. Filled pan to halfway mark. Covered with lid, put on medium flame of small burner, because of warnings about handle getting hot. Oiled egg cups with tiny amount of real butter. When water in pan boiling, turned down to lowest temp that water still simmering. Carefully broke eggs into cups without placing in pan. Placed cups in cup holes. Covered with lid and set timer for 6 minutes. [Partly firm, with some runny egg}. After six minues, removed lid and lifted entire center holder with fork tine onto paper towel. Used little soft spatula to turn eggs out onto plate. Beautiful perfectly cooked poached eggs! After eating, poured hot water out of pan and dried pan and lid. Washed egg cups with soapy water. I probably will not put in dishwasher, because all parts cleaned so easily !

Seems to be heavy duty. Should last a long time.

This is the second one of these that I've bought, and I totally love them. Our family increased, so I need to purchase a larger one. These are so amazingly easy to use, that I was even able to teach my 9 year old how to use it (with extreme caution, of course). Most important in my book was my ability to use them with just egg whites. They are perfect for that...and for making the perfect egg with out all of the frying. Easy to clean and very easy to handle. Strongly recommended.

i can actually poach a great egg, but i have been eating them more often and cleaning my larger sauce pan that would end up with egg white on its side every time, made me want something easier. i got the 2 egg size, and while it isn’t the most substantial pan, it has worked great. the first egg i cooked, on the english muffin, taught me several things. don’t fill the pan more than about an inch or it splashes all over including on the egg. also, i had it boiling too rapidly which also created water everywhere. 4 + minutes. the next day i put in less water and turned the heat down to a rolling boil and at 5 minutes it came out perfect, no water all over, egg slid out nicely, and clean up took less than a minute. i used tongs to remove cup and didn’t burn myself which some reviewers had. very happy, good price, decent quality pan reflecting the cost point and fit my bill.

This is a excellent poacher. I was looking for a small 2 egg poacher and this is perfect. Love the stainless steel and the metal baskets are non stick. My only recommendation would be to make the handle either all metal or metal protecting the underside of the handle. I have an electrical stove and used the poacher on the bigger burner which the heat of the burner was right under the handle. I was standing there watching it and could smell something burning like a strong plastic smell, along with a popping sound. I immediately shut the burner off and checked the poacher where I saw the handle was beginning to melt and extremely hot. I moved the poacher to the smaller burner, making sure the handle wasn't directly over the heat and it worked perfectly. It's a great poacher, only for the one slight problem. Hope this helps.

Perfect little egg cooker, I love it. A poached egg for me is perfect at 6 min. 20 seconds. Highly recommend this great little pan, so easy to use!
