Packaging? Packaging is very good. Consists of 2 16 OZ resealable packages. You have a tab at the back. You have to pull the Tab, and it is ready to use. after use, you can seal the package using the built-in ziplock. This is a very good ziplock and package, not flimsy. How does it taste? It is 100% cacao with 0% sugar. What can we expect? It is bitter. But, it is not bad in taste. It is very aromatic and rich in Cacao flavor. Health benefits & Food value? Most of you already know that Cacao is considered superfood because of its health benefits. It has antioxidants, flavanols, polyphenols and its very rich in Fiber, Magnesium, and Iron. The Cacao powder is cold pressed, hence the nutrient value is not compromised in the extraction process 14 gms (2.5 Tbsp) gives you 60 calories and contains Dietary Fiber - 4 gms (16% of daily requirement) Magnesium - 92 mg (23% of daily requirement) Iron - (8% of daily requirement) Potassium - 243 mg (7% of daily requirement) Sugar - 0 gms How can you use it? I drink it with Warm milk and honey. The texture is very smooth and silky. It forms a very rich and creamy solution. My wife made chocolate cake, Muffins with it. We had to use sweeteners when we did that. You can use it in Smoothies, beverages, desserts, sauces, spreads and other baking items. Recipies are available at www.navitasnaturals.com How is my experience? My colon is very sensitive to food and stress. Sometimes, I get pain. I bought it to try cacao as an anti-inflammatory. This is the first time I get "Navitas Naturals Cacao Powder Organic" it has an excellent Super-Chocolate Taste that I really like and ever since I found it I add it to so many things, Smoothies, Mexican Sauces, Spreads, Cakes and my Favorite Chocolate Sauce that I make with Maple Syrup Grade B, which I also got here at Amazon. Navitas Cacao Powder and Maple Syrup Sauce is very easy to make, I use the Sauce for Ice-Cream Toppings, Plain Yogurt and many Different Cakes and Frostings. Maple Chocolate Syrup: In a Saucepan Medium Heat add: 1 Cup Maple Syrup Grade B 3/4 Cup Water 1/2 teaspoon Salt, bring it to a Simmer (Not Boil) add and whisk 1 Cup Navitas Organic Cacao Powder it will take several minutes to Dissolve Totally don't let it Boil too much, Remove from Heat and add 1 1/2 Tablespoons of a Good Vanilla Extract, Watkins is Good, I also get it here You will need a 16 ounces Glass Jar, the Sauce will come up almost to the Top, it keeps well in the Refrigerator for about 3 Weeks and it is Super-Good, you going to be eating it all the time, I like to pour some of it and mix it with Almond Milk that I make myself for that Special Treat. This is another way of eating Raw Chocolate Powder which is supposed to be a Super-Food according to Doctor Oz and his Television Show. Maple Syrup and Cocoa Powder makes the best Chocolate Sauce because both Ingredients don't have any Chemicals, Additives, Sugars or Stabilizers, unlike the well known Chocolate Syrup Brands and you really know what's in it! The Bean of the Cacao Plant is the Nutritional and Flavorful source for all Chocolate and Cocoa Products. Cacao contains a Naturally Rich supply of Antioxidants and is a Good Source of Dietary Fiber and one of the Highest Sources of Magnesium, Flavanols and Polyphenols. Serving Size: 2.5 Tablespoons (14g) has 60 Calories. Product of Peru. Navitas Naturals is 100% Pure Cacao Powder that is Certified Organic, Kosher, Non-gmo, Gluten Free and Raw! ...Thank You D.D.

Tastes like cocao is supposed to, though with some bitterness, as expected, and the price is not bad. It is a bit hard to dissolve though and tends to leave some residue in the bottom of a cup. It needs sugar or other sweetener for my taste. One thing I do is to add it to a tablespoonful to a packet of Quaker instant oatmeal, plus some sugar or Splenda and 2/3 cup of water. That blends well and tastes good after two minutes in my microwave oven. I also tried something new today--I mixed about 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee with a whole teaspoon of the cocao into a coffee cup of hot milk, with some sweetener, and it was quite good. I got caffeine from the coffee, but the mixture tasted mostly of cocao, which I prefer to the coffee taste. And yes, I sweetened it with Splenda. I know some will howl about that, but as a toxicologist I am convinced that the Splenda is as safe as other sweeteners, including sugar. Also, keep it in mind that just because something is "natural" or comes entirely from a plant does not mean it is harmless. If you look up toxic substances you will find that most of the very most potent come from plants or other "natural" sources. For example, ricin, botulinum toxin, etc.
