Great kit! I chose this after reading many reviews for kits that claim to fit a #17 torch. Many others stated some parts included did NOT work with the CK17 and Riverweld specifically stated theirs were correct for the CK series. They are correct, work perfectly and now I have a great deal more flexibility in my set up.

I got a nice full set of gas lenses with all of the associated collets and cups, along with a new plastic ring for my torch even though the lenses fit with my old one (stock torch from AHP 200 tig/stick welder). I noticed an immediate improvement in gas coverage compared to not using lenses, and actually held a more consistent arc than my original collets. Very impressed and worth the money imo.

The assortment of cups and consumables is very nice, however, the jumbo #15 cup was brolen when I opened the box.

Bought for my son going to school to be a welder. He like this set and said it’s a great starter set to learn with.

The kit works fine its just kinda pain to deal with, you need to use multiple insulators to make certain cups work. If youre in a pinch and cant or wont spend the money on a good kit this kit would do fine. It would he a good kit for someone that wants to try different style cups before making an expensive commitment or if you have a job that requires a few of the oddball cups in this kit.

Application is a 2016 AHP AlphaTIG, which has the 17 series torch. Everything looks high quality, and the shorter backers will work nicely for fitting into tight areas. I have no actual data to support better gas coverage (although I've seen pictures online demonstrating the difference in flow between the two types) but I've experienced no issues, so it seems to be working just fine. Definitely worth it if for no other reason than to have spares when you break something, and definitely worth having the shorter caps available.
