Quirky PowerCurl 45w Clip-On Cord Wrap for Apple MagSafe Power Adapter - for MacBook Air Blue

I’ve purchased a PowerCurl for every Mac laptop I’ve had over the past few years. I’ve always hated trying to coil up the adapter and power cord neatly since they stay the way I want for about .68 seconds before uncoiling into their natural state of complete disarray. While the PowerCurl isn’t the most svelte accessory, it keeps my power cord and adapter organized and I can put it exactly where I want without it uncoiling and ruining my attempts at keeping some semblance of order within my bag. If you’re looking for something to magically make your power adapter and cord take up less room, this is not it. The PowerCurl’s purpose is to keep it all organized and let you set the adapter upright to improve air flow around it to keep it cooler. Note that Quirky has “updated” the PowerCurl to a new design. I use quotation marks because I really don’t think it’s an update since the new design doesn’t seem to be any improvement over the original. The new design packs the adapter portion into a circular holder and you wrap the cord around that but from what I’ve seen and read online, it’s incredibly difficult to wrap the cord tightly enough so it stays put in the new version. I intentionally looked for the original version here on Amazon since I knew that it would work well for me given my previous experiences. I didn’t get the color I wanted (gray) and had to settle for blue instead, but I’m happy I could still get the original version at such a great price. The PowerCurl comes in multiple sizes to fit the different power adapter sizes that come with the different Apple laptop models. If you don’t know what adapter you have, just read the text printed on the adapter itself – you will see right there with your very own eyes which one you have so you can order the correct PowerCurl. There’s really no need to ask complete strangers on the internet which PowerCurl you need as long as you can pick up your own power adapter and read what it says.

This is the first product I am rating 5 stars. This product was cheap and effective, just like what I wish every product would be like! I have a Mac Book Pro and the cord always used to get in the way. My old charger broke (had the computer for about 6 years now) so I bought a brand new charger for it (mind you it was $80 from Apple! But I do not want to buy knock offs for my computer charger), as you know all apple chargers are WHITE as snow and gets dirty and I am a clean freak when it comes to white things. With this product I can just wrap up my wires, and it stays super clean! Not to mention, my floor/bed does not get dangerously hot anymore because it elevates the charging base and keeps it from touching anything. I love'd it so much I bought one for my mother for her Mac Book Charger. I do not lie in my reviews, and if you read my other reviews you can see that I am not afraid to bash a product and will rate products 1 star! Please read the description and research your Macbook product to KNOW that it fits, there is one for 60w and 80w.

This product was on sale for $9.99 so it caught my eyes. When I got this, I was satisfied with its package. When I opened it, I was little bit disappointed because the size was bigger than I thought. I tried it to my 2011 Macbook Pro 13" adapter and It fits perfectly. Yes... this product should be this size. So now I can't complain about the size. Other than that, it's very good. It allows me organize both two side of cables perfectly. I usually don't bring white extension cable, but when I need it (for doing Internet at the coffee shop which doesn't have a lot of outlets closely), it does its job very well. I recommend this product to people who brings a/c adapter and cables frequently. This allow your desk clean and tidy. :) Oh.. if you put it vertically on the desk or on the floor, your adapter will be less hot cause it will get air from both side. (I have attached my photo.)

I work from home, so portability was not an option. I want to say that up front, because this thing is large. To get an idea of how large, you can do what I did-- I laid the brick on the table and wrapped the cord similarly to the photo and got an idea. Actually, I was fairly close that way, so I wasn't surprised. This does NOT make the cord "more portable" or less portable in my opinion, but it does wrap it neatly and helps me get it off the floor and stands my brick up so it gets plenty of air on both sides which is what I wanted it for. That said, I do have one issue, but it's with ALL power supplies. When you wrap it, you tend to bend the cord at the section where it enters the brick. Now, for me here at home, I get around that by not wrapping it around the brick as tightly. I allow those parts to stick out of this device more than they show here. However, for some people that may hot be an option or even desirable. Just be aware--be a savvy shopper--this is an AID not a panacea. In that capacity, it's great. It's made well, sturdy, and I'm not even having issues with the included clip like other reviewers have said, though I"ve only had mine for a little while now. My hubby now wishes they would make these for his PC cable. All in all--good product and good for the money, I felt. UPDATE: I just this week had to replace my original Macbook power cord due to user error (I caught it beneath something and ripped it---Grrrr). Anyhow, I decided to go with the aftermarket replacement from iReplace mainly to try their product. This Quirky cord wrap FITS the iReplace brick perfectly as well. I have to say, I use my Quirky PowerCurl DAILY. It never is removed from my power supply and as many years as I've had it, I still love it. I was sad to think I may not have it if it didn't fit the iReplace cord, but it DOES! I also truly think that by using the PowerCurl carefully, I have extended the life of my original power cord, and for that, I am thankful.

Ví el artículo y me pareció muy interesante pero resulta que el hueco para el cargador parece estar hecho para todos los cargados de Mac y resultar que el cargado de MacBook Air es más pequeño por lo que al final no se ajusta a este cargador.

Oggetto veramente comodo, salva e tiene in ordine il caricabatterie del MacBook, semplice l'installazione, veramente consigliato. Spedizione veloce, precisa, e puntuale.

ich habe das gefühl das material stinke etwas..die Gummi Ansogst für die Kabelsalat ..perfekt. für 60W und 85W. mac user

Kann der Vor-Rezension nicht zustimmen. Hab ein MBP 13". Das Gummi umschliesst das Netzteil sehr gut, die Aussparungen lassen die Kabel zu beiden Seiten flexibel. Schnell auf- und abgerollt, fuer das dicke Kabel liegt noch ein Kabelclip bei, damit man dieses wie das duenne Kabel feststecken kann. Aufgerollt ist der PowerCurl kompakt und die Kabel drohen nicht abzuknicken. Dank des Gummis muss man sich keine Gedanken machen Oberflaechen (inkl. des Netzteils) zu zerkratzen. Falls das Netzteil runterfaellt ist es automatisch gegen Stoesse geschuetzt. Fazit: Ordentliches Gekabel, Prima Ding, nur etwas teuer

Apple hat sich mit einer Aufwicklung für die Netzteile nicht wirklich Mühe gegeben. Dieses Problem löst der PowerCurl allerbestens! Ich werde auch oft darauf angesprochen, denn es ist echt mega praktisch. Einmal eingesetzt rutscht das Netzteil nicht mehr heraus und die beiden Kabelenden können perfekt aufgerollt werden. Besonders praktisch ist das für mich, da ich das Ladegerät jeden Tag mit in die Uni schleppen muss. Im Rucksack ist alles perfekt aufgehoben. Das dünne Kabel wird mit dem bereits vorhandenen Clip befestigt, für das dickere Kabel ist ein extra Clip zum aufstecken vorhanden - besser gehts kaum! Ich würde es wieder kaufen und habe es auch schon oft weiter empfohlen! Eine kleine Investition die es in sich hat!
