StickTite Lenses Small 28mm stick-on bifocal lens, convert sunglasses into magnified bifocal reading glasses

I wear bifocals and I am a cyclist. It is impossible to read detailed information on my head unit. For years i just utilized limited data fields and squinted, but forget about detailed structured workouts as that would be impossible. Custom glasses are too expensive and contacts dont work for me ( I tried). I read the reviews on this product , some good and some bad. For the price it was worth the gamble. These went on very easily, too easy. They have stayed in place. There is a narrow margin of visibility but if you take a moment to identify the area that you specifically need magnification these work perfectly. Are they perfectly clear, not necessarily - i applied some trial and error to identify the range and magnification location i needed. For me these work perfectly. I can now clearly read small detailed data fields during my outdoor structured training rides. If you are willing to identify your needs and dial in the the location (car dash, watch, bike computer) these work perfectly well. I love the product These are for specific use cases and no one should expect perfect custom lens vision from these. If you need that level of quality vision spend the money with your doctor. Again, for my needs they worked perfectly well.

I returned the StickTite Lenses because they are cloudy or foggy. Not crisp and clear. Yes, I used a cloth designed for cleaning eyeglasses to be sure they were clean. I ordered the Hydrotac lenses at the same time to compare and they are very clear. The plastic of the StickTite is indeed soft and can curve easily to wraparound style sunglasses but the clouding and glare over what you are trying to read makes them useless. By comparison the Hydrotac lenses are stiffer but still were able to adhere to my Maui Jim Ho’okipa sunglasses and the lenses are clear. Yes, I know I can get Maui Jim’s with reader lenses ground in and once I’m comfortable knowing what power I need to read the gps in the car I will probably do that. Bottom line I would not recommend the StickTite lenses. Try something else.

They work great! I have several pairs: two pairs on my sunglasses and two pairs on low-powered reading glasses. They work wonders while driving and needing to read the car’s GPS or while walking and needing to read my phone. I use the ones on my reading glasses to help with reading the computer and also needing to read small print. When they get really dirty, I pop them off, clean the glasses/sunglasses as well as the lenses, and then gently reapply them.

This is a revised review: I do have a retraction of sorts… I applied these StickTite lenses with lens cleaner as recommended by StickTite. The outcome was blurry and the adhesion not good. 2 stars. Then I bought a different pair of magnifiers (Hydrotac) and applied them using water. They were much clearer but way too big in size, so I retuned them. When I took the StickTite lenses off I noticed a film of hazy residue from the lens cleaner I used which was recommended by StickTite. I cleaned the lenses and the readers, re-did them with water and got a much clearer outcome and better adhesion. Do not use lens cleaner to apply. Clean your glasses AND the StickTite readers. USE WATER to apply, and a healthy amount. Place the readers on the lens, wipe off excess water with a microfiber lens cloth, an LET DRY. Clean them up after they are dry and adhere. It works.

I had high hopes for these. I think the concept is great: to enable you to convert any existing glasses into bi-focal glasses. They were reasonably priced and easy enough to install, but unfortunately my 2 main issues: 1. the optical clarity was not crisp enough for me. While it did allow me to read smaller print, it was still somewhat distorted, but I guess that is somewhat expected when you don't have a rigid lens. 2. They were rather large (see attached photo for dimensions). I don't have huge glasses so they would have required significant trimming down.

When I first tried these I thought they were junk. I was trying to get them to work in a pair of swim goggles. The product at first is a little difficult to work with. At least in swim goggles. I eventually got them in, actually not hard. But I was not satisfied with the clarity. Then I realized how easy it is to remove and reapply the lenses. So, I got a pair of sunglasses to try them in. Now, it was very easy with good clarity. Use water with a speck of dish detergent. (the surfactant breaks the surface tension.) Move them around and press them where you want them. Good to go in a few minutes. Now I'm going to try them again in a new pair of swim goggles. It might have been a problem with the old goggle plastic lenses.

It is an okay product. The reader lenses once applied don't give a 100% clearness on reading small print once finally attached to my sunglasses. It is not easy to apply the lenses even after following the instructions and videos. I get the bubbles out and let lens dry, but after it drys there are bubbles which I can't get out, so I have to start all over. I've tried to apply the lenses at least 5 times without success. I finally did get one lens one after multiple attempts, but I'm still working on getting the second lens on. Once the lens is on it takes a very long time to dry.

Excelente idea para lentes de sol, no es que se hagan lentes de lectura, pero te saca de un apuro, no es tan necesario estar cambiando de lentes por los de lectura, además los puedes instalar en la parte que mjor te acomode, también se pueden remover y volver a poner. Desde que los compré los instalé llevan dos meses en las gafas de sol.

Una excelente solución para convertir prácticamente cualquier gafa en bifocal.

I've been using the lenses for more than a year on my cycling sunglasses (bought a second set for my other Oakley sunglasses) and they have been great. Was a little concerned that might not stick for a long period but no problems. I won't try to read a book with them but I can now read my bike computer when out riding.

These are very effective - I used them after cataract surgery for reading for a few weeks until I got my new prescription. Just make sure to order the right diopter size. I prefer the 28 mm lens to the 30 mm lens since I have a smaller size spectacles frame.

Es un magnifico producto. Lo adhieres a tus lentes de sol y de inmediato tienes visión cercana. Ayudan mucho para conducir y poder ver todo el tablero del auto. Llego en el plazo prometido.
