Great cables, the increase in network speed was noticeable after replacing the older CAT5e/CAT6 cables with these ones. However, due to its flat design, there are certain disadvantages compared to the traditional round ethernet cables, including poorer heat dissipation. My recommendation would be to use them only for short distances (3FT or so); for anything over 6FT you may want to consider using the conventional round cables instead.

So the cable works, it seems to at least broadcast at CAT7 speeds so there is that. It says CAT8 but i cannot confirm that with the items on my network but I can confirm it hits/exceeds CAT7 speeds. The cable jacket seems a bit thin so I am not sure how it would handle long term like travel or whatnot but the cable itself is decent for being installed and forgotten about.

Works great. I use them to hardwire my PC and Xbox from a Google wifi node. My house is older and does not have integrated ethernet throughout. With this setup I was able to up my bandwidth significantly.
