Principles of Athletic Training: A Competency-Based Approach

Everything an athletic trainer needs to know - great for students
I bought this at the recommendation of an Athletic Trainer. I’m a student still in my undergrad but I wanted access to Athletic Training material.Tons of information on everything. I like it because I don’t have access to hands on training at the moment - perfect material to study in the meantime!

Best text book I have ever owned
This is possibly my favorite text book and I've never been happy about a text book for college in my life. Usually they get shoved in the back of my closet after my class is over. This is a part of my normal book shelf and my go to for medical reading. I have learned a lot in this book along with my class. If you need this book for a class it's a good text book, but if you just want to have a text book of injuries, such as sprang's, torn ligaments, wraps, and my favorite, medical taping for these injuries this is a very informative book to have.

Great!!
I still have this book. It was exactly what I needed to pass my class. It was also cheaper then at the campus book store. Glad I did come to Amazon and look for the book .It was a good read also and I did pass my class:)

would recommend a different book for more in depth approaches
this is a decent resource but a lot of the information is fairly basic. would recommend a different book for more in depth approaches.

Great Book for AT's but not so great for studying.
I like the book for school to read the chapter but it does have one flaw. You can not "write" notes into or on the pages of the ebook. Having this ability would be great instead of having to type in notes that do not show up until you click on them.. Having a "pen" with all Kindle books would be awesome.

Great book to learn how to work with athletes who ...
Great book to learn how to work with athletes who are recovering from injury or who had a recent injury. This book has step by step information when talking to a patient or athlete. Each chapter covers a different joint (GH, elbow/wrist, hip, knee, ankle.....) AWESOME book for gym owners to help out their athletes.

Meh
The book itself isn't bad. I don't like the organization of the book. But Amazon sent a a book that was all rippped up; that was pretty disappointing. If I wasn't in a hurry to receive it, I would have gotten a refund for the book.
