This won't work for my application, which was to secure my gym locker, which had previously been broken in to. The locking pin is too far into the lock to grab the ring on the gym locker latch. So in other words, if he ring on the locker stuck out a little more and go a little further into the back of the lock, it would work. I see it working well for other such latch type rings or some chain types (although a chain small enough to fit would be easier to cut than a lock). I returned this item because it was sold at a discount, being a return or something with the description saying the box was damaged but the item was okay. That was true, but it was described as coming with 2 keys and it only had one and that's not as described. I had another key made at the hardware store, but it wasn't a good copy, so instead of spending more on another key, I elected to return it. I am not taking off stars because a review is about the product, not some story about it, and the product itself is very good and it is extremely heavy. The fact that I selected one at a discount that was missing a key is irrelevant to its quality.

Awesome lock, super shiny. Heavy little thing. The locking shaft looks and feels solid as well. The lock is easy to turn and engage. Doesn't get easily scratched but welcomes fingerprints all day if you're okay with this. Great lock!

Got this for a shipping container after our standard style was broken off and items stolen. Went with a Master's version of this lock first but key got hung up and the pin did not slide easy. This one is very smooth. If the lock gets jammed you are going to have a big problem getting it off. I am not less concerned about this lock than the Master Hidden Shackle lock

I like the product for its security, but I don't like the fact that it's starting to rust. I have not had this product a month and it's rusting out.

I have TriMax on my other trailer, and these are comparable. My TriMax units had corrosion within months so you don’t always get what you pay for. Time will tell with these but for the price they are great.

Not even FtKnox's impenetrable, but for brain dead dopers and the inevitable poachers, this dissuades the vermin as too much trouble and taking too long to jack with. Great quality, especially when backed with surrounding sheet metal...

Worked great for my shed. Had a little rust in approximately a month but that doesn't take away from the security it provides.

Although this is a lock to be used on an outside lock, the locking mechanism started rusting after the first rain. What kind of a lock will rust in the first few days of use? Boggles the mind-
