High Density Polyethylene Pith Helmet White

I work on the waterfront of a sleep-a-way camp during the summer and these hats were what the lifeguards used to use back about 15 years ago..we since moved to lifeguard baseball caps. With the yearly cost of buying 20 or more of the caps, I decided to return to these durable, light-weight helmets. They serve the purpose of providing air through the holes at the top, the plastic is strong enough to weather multiple falls to the floor/ground, the adjustable head gear under the hat works well with fitting any size head, it is just big enough to provide sun protection for the nose, ears and back of the neck. I am sure there are multiple uses for it but we use it as a lifeguard hat and it certainly identifies our guards from any camper or other adult on the beach.

The helmet I ordered was claimed to be a helmet made by Midwest Helmets, a very trusted brand. The Helmet I recieved was not made by Midwest Helmets but by Bayly, Inc from Hollywood Florida. It's cheaply made and does not stand up to the standards of a Midwest helmet.

It's a pretty basic pith helmet. I have a large head, but it is adjustable. It hot though and sound reverberates a lot with it on. I don't wear it as much as I thought I would because of these things.
