If you are using artificial lights, make sure they are turned down after treatment so it doesn't burn. Don't apply in direct sunshine for same, best before sundown.

Does this include azadirachtin?

Yes, there is azadirachtin (the insecticidal chemical mixture in neem, named after the plant, Azadirachta indica) in this product. The label on my bottle gives a "count" of 1500+ but does not give units. I am guessing this is parts per million, since that's the usual concentration unit on other labels.

The first two times I bought this it was more translucent and not as stinky and the third time it resembled coffee in color and smells awful, why?

Neem is typically dark and stinky. I would be more concerned if it was translucent.

IS this the same as neem essential oil, can I use it to make handmade soaps where essential oil is added at the end of the soap making process?

neem oil is not an essential oil. it is oil that you can use to make soap like coconut, olive, etc. but it's not primarily used for aromatherapy like essential oils.
