Orient Men's 'Sun and Moon Version 3' Japanese Automatic/Hand-Winding Watch with Sapphire Crystal

This is the Best watch ever, period! Just go for it.

If I had to nitpick anything about this watch it would be how some numerals are cut off and how TUES is not within its ring. I understand they did TUES the way they did to avoid it being cut off, but WED was left within the ring and is slightly cut off, so I would rather they kept the symmetry and the expense of a cutoff letter. Similarly, I would have preferred the complications placed and sized slightly differently so certain numerals weren't missing their 'feet'. But again, just nitpicks that aren't important enough to lower my rating.That being said, this is a very excellent watch. I already have a small collection and just the few minutes I spent wearing it to adjust the band and try it on (I haven't had a chance to wear it anywhere) this may be my favorite so far. The watch is extremely comfortable and lightweight to the point I could see forgetting I even have it on. This is my first leather strap with a clasp (not sure if that's the actual name for it) and it works remarkably well offering the snap-on convenience of a metal bracelet, with the comfort and easy wrist sizing (no fiddling with removing links!) of a leather band.Despite my earlier nitpicks, this features a beautiful and elegant dial. I opted for the "brown" model and the sepia toned dial combined with the copper toned body matches probably even better than the pictures give it justice. And then you add in the brown leather and it's a complete package where every part compliments each other in a way few watches pull off this well, in my opinion.There's really not much to be said about the craftsmanship of this piece. It's an Orient which is a quality watchmaker. This watch is a bit pricey, but not absurdly so. I believe you get what you pay for and this watch strikes the perfect balance of price vs quality and features which gives it great value even if it's not a so-called investment watch like a Rolex or Omega or such (which I would be almost scared to even wear).I don't write many reviews, and it's a testament to how impressed I was with this particular watch that I took the time to do so. Even my last watch which was a Tissot around the same price point didn't inspire me to take the time out of my day to wax poetic about it (it was quite nice too but I didn't find it as comfortable to wear).

Es mi 5to reloj de la marca Orient, los otros 4 son versiones Bambino y sin duda este Sun & Moon es de mis favoritos, no puedo decir que es el mas bonito, pero los detalles que tiene dentro de la esfera lo hace un reloj hermoso, con respecto a los materiales, este reloj es cristal de Zafiro en la parte superior de la caja, el cristal no es 100 % plano, trae una ligera curvatura lo cual hace un efecto tipo lupa al verlo muy de costado en lo personal hace que se vea muy bien y con mas profundidad se observa el dial. El color de la esfera o dial es un blanco aperlado, hace que con las diferentes texturas muestre unos tonos hermosos al reflejo de la luz, sinceramente en vivo se me muchisimo mejor que en las fotos o reviews de videos que vi antes de adquirirlo. Por otro lado las complicaciones son muy interesantes, ya que puedes ver el dia, el numero de dia y el cambio de Sol y luna dependiendo la hora del dia. Los indices son aplicados en esta version blanca, ya que los que son Azul o Negro los numeros romanos son pintados, me agradan mas que sean aplicados. La relacion calidad precio de Orient como siempre excede cualquier expectativa, ya que hace poco adquiri un Seiko Presage y sinceramente me quedo con Orient mejores precios y gran calidad en sus relojes, ya que ese seiko que menciono ni siquiera Zafiro le metieron y el el precio que pague fue el doble que un bambino. El precio que lo compre este Sun & Moon fue de 6mil pesos MXN, lo estuve cazando varios meses ya que se agota muy rápido cuando hay existencias. El único punto en contra que veo de este gran reloj es el tamaño y no tanto los 42.5 mm que mide la caja , sino el grosor, los 14mm si se me hace algo gordito... en otros sitios critican la correa, pero desde mi punto de vista es buena y muy bonita. Trae un broche de mariposa y en oriente la parte que sobra de la correa va en dirección hacia ti. Si eres coleccionista no puede faltar en ninguna colección este modelo.

I've owned this watch for about 4 months now and it's an absolutely beautiful product. But before I dive into the product review, I've got to give credit where it's due.RDBrands is, without a doubt, THE distributor to buy from. They sent the watch 3 weeks earlier than expected, with fully-tracked, DHL express shipping. To put into perspective - they sent the package from Tel Aviv to Vancouver in less than 3 days (no BS shipping/import fees). The cherry on top: I selected standard shipping at checkout. If that doesn't scream quality customer service, I don't know what does.As for the watch itself:It's got a noticeable heft to it (at about 14mm thick and an outer diameter of 42.5mm) but I personally enjoy the feeling of wearing a device so pronounced and elegant. It feels incredibly robust and you can truly see Orient's high attention-to-detail in the finely textured dial. The crystal has an almost matte and modest sapphire finish to it that leaves no evidence of fingerprints. It's a gorgeous piece to observe in natural sunlight.The movement inside will typically last for >24hrs, depending on how long I'll wear it in a given day. It's incredibly accurate, losing about 5 seconds after each day (which isn't much at all). The mechanism has a crispy ratchet sound when manually hand-winding the crown, and on top of that, it produces a satisfying click for each day/date adjustment. Second-hand hacking is included.The shortfalls of this product are expected, but insignificant, at this price range. First, the genuine leather band feels slightly cheaper - but this means that more thought was put into the dial and internal mechanism (I fully support this decision). Second, the stainless steel casing seems to collect minor scratches from frequent wear, but it's not noticeable or distracting at all. It's not a huge deal, but I definitely recommend buying a replacement watchstrap to complement the high quality dial.TL;DR:Pros:- high quality, robust, gorgeous, detailed texturing on dial- top quality engineering and design- RDBrands 10/10 customer experience and shipping speedCons:- leather band feels slightly cheaper- leather band is slightly on the longer side (almost wraps fully around wrist)- stainless steel casing collects minor scratchesWithout reservation, I would 100% recommend this product and buy again from this seller.

I don't have anything similar to compare with but with that being said this watch is an absolute bargain for the money! I have had it for a month now and can't find anything negative to mention. The design is absolutely gorgeous, wrist band is of very good quality not to mention the deployment clasp. The time keeping is pretty acceptable +14 sec per 24 h. Honestly, just go for it! I am definitely going to add the rose gold version to my version 3 collection
