I have always found the Amazon Basics cables to be reliable and with a good long usage ... but we have probably all seen how the cable eventually splits right next to the Lightning connector (especially when ised a great deal amd also in hotter weather)This newer design seeks to prevent that from happening and I can see that it will work very well for a longer time ... and I shall be paying this small premium in future to have this higher quality Amazon Basics cable

I purchased this as the charger cable for my iphone 7+ was absolutely ruined. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and there has been 0 issues. No heating up, no tearing, nothing. My phone has been charging normally.I will update my review if anything comes up :)

I had the previous version of this but my cat chewed through it so was time for a new one! This is way more sturdy than the last one, the connection seems to have been reinforced so no tearing like the normal iPhone chargers! Great update amazon!

What more can I say. It does just what it’s supposed to do As to longevity well that remains to be seen but I’m sure it will probably last a very long time. I’m really happy with it. It certainly more sturdy than the original one supplied with my iPhone.

Bought these quite a while back now.Very durable and strong cables, have thrown in bags, bent round corners etc etc and still working perfectly fine. The connection between cable and socket at end seems very sturdy.
