First off, this is the first Time I've use a spray shampoo- I can't believe how much less my Pomeranian hated taking a bath! Not having to get him wet first to get him sudsy seemed so much less traumatic for him, which made him less squirmy, which was easier on me:) Ok so, aside from the ease of this being a spray, this flea shampoo really works! My two pups had suddenly come seriously infested, which we didn't catch right away since our fur babies are so fluffy. We tried frontline, some industrial strength flea shampoo, natural things like neem and tea tree oil, and even a week later were unable to get all of them- my poor pups were miserable and their skin was getting irritated from the scratching and all the different flea products we were trying. I ordered this, thinking it probably wouldn't be very good since it was so inexpensive/ but it ended up being the only thing that killed every flea and probably their eggs too since they never got another infestation! This stuff smells great- like cloves, and has a really nice lather that when you leave it on for a few minutes, you can actually see all the dead fleas float up to the top of the bubbles, but still very gentle on their already irritated skin The only issue I have is with the bottle itself- the spray pump is a little difficult to use especially when your hands become wet and soapy, and doesn't spray much product in one pump- my hands got tired so I ended up taking the cap off and ended up trying to pour the shampoo instead if spray which wasted a lot of product. It really should have a trigger style spray top! Either way though, I fully recommend this if you've got a pup with fleas and I plan on using this again and again!

Last summer when visiting family my dogs both picked up fleas from the grass outside. We always have used Revolution for prevention but it was not working at all. . For 2 weeks I tried every kind of flea shampoo I could get my hands on, I also tried pills that supposedly would get into the dogs blood stream and kill the fleas on them (I just noticed my dogs going crazy itching when I used them). Finally I found this Vets Best and tried it. I like a few things about it, first and foremost, it worked. Secondly it wasn't packed full of crazy chemicals. It works as both a shampoo and a spray just to put on their coat (light misting works best). I washed my dogs with it and once dry lightly misted them (if you spray it on a wet coat and pet your dog it will foam up). Within a day no more fleas! The peppermint kills the fleas and keeps them away with the smell. It is an overwhelming peppermint smell. We now travel with a bottle any time we go anywhere with our dogs. Right when I let them out of the car I give each a few sprays and I know I won't have to worry about them picking up any fleas. On another note. . We used to see spiders in our home in the spring, I lightly spray our curtains once and month and it keeps them out as well. Peppermint is great because it kill a wide variety of pests so they will avoid it.

This works amazing but so does their whole line of products. Only reason for the 4 stars is the pump sucks that comes with it. It’s hard to use and when you press down it leaks. Making spraying difficult but it comes out in a good mist. I replaced the pump and it’s fine. The smell is strong but very pleasant. I have 5 dogs and no issues with skin, seems to work for a long time, overall good value for the money. Overall would recommend to everyone.

This is my new flea shampoo for the dogs when they require a full bath. Used it yesterday on 2 dogs and by following the directions I was amazed at the number of fleas that came off I had not seen. The 1st part, spray and work in brought out the hidden fleas. Adding the water and lathering up, the dead fleas were falling off at an amazing rate. After rinsing, I used a white towel for the final drying. The fleas that came off were dead, dead, dead! I wish I could tell you how long this will last, but I am only guessing that it will be a good while. The spray on function stops the waste of a liquid. After 2 dogs the level did not go down much. In my opinion this may be a true bargain. The scent is the same as all the Vets Best products, and I love the scent. The combination of the oils make it pleasing. I have 1 dog who is sensitive to MANY flea products, not ANY of the Vets Best products have made him ill. (There is nothing more frightening than your dog having an upset stomach and all the symptoms that follow, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating.) The product is made of natural ingredients just like the entire line. I have been a long term user of the flea spray and the itch relief. I recently added the waterless shampoo (great, BTW), the yard spray, (even kills mosquitoes!, safe for bees), and, of course this spray shampoo. I highly recommend this shampoo, this has been a bad year for fleas and this product got fleas off that 2 other brands did not. If you are looking for a more natural solution for fleas, IMO, this is the one.

I was fooled into buying the more expensive "shampoo" when their other product "spray" is exactly the same except half the price of the shampoo. Buy the spray instead for your money's worth, compare for yourself. Vet's Best Natural Flea and Tick Home Spray, 32 oz Vet's Best works okay, it feels soapy, but have to spray a lot and then my little dog freaks out because it's very noxious (intense smelling) and more than he can stand. Spraying makes it "airborne" which then he breathes in more, big mistake. He ends up smelling like a Christmas fruit cake or holiday ham; he runs when he sees the bottle in my hand. Rather than spraying, I soak a baby wipe and wipe him down before I let him out in the yard (legs, feet, chest, back and tail only). Fleas do not go jumping off, but anything this smelly will keep many fleas from jumping aboard. For shampooing, yes it lathers up just like the "spray" product they sell, anything that lathers up will start to kill fleas. You can decide for yourself if rinsing would be the key to the sodium lauryl sulfate staying-on-the-skin issue. Does it get rid of our flea problem? Not by itself; it is one product that I switch off between other flea-battling products to entertain the fleas to death. With more fleas than dogs in Florida, good luck. I was using Activyl flea drops which stopped working and I refuse to continue killing my dog via chemicals - flea topicals are so convenient aren't they? If I'm not willing to use a product on myself, it won't be used on my pet either. So Vet's Best is part of my less-toxic arsenal.
