We have been using 3 flute up cut bits in aluminum.We like the 3 flute down cut bits for fine wood detail.We tested straight, and 2 flute down cut bits, but the three flutes seem to make a better floor finish in cedar wood.Three flutes make a better side wall finish as well.We use Dry Lube on the bits before we start cutting.Seems to do very well.

Three plus hours of cutting MDF and still going strong. Already ordered a backup of this bit.

I really like this bit. Ive been using it for a few months on my CNC mostly for cutting out shapes in thinner woods. Ive also used it for roughing out some smaller Christmas ornaments. Ive used it on mdf, maple, and walnut and never had any issues with clogging or ripping. I'll buy this again if I ever need to.

If your looking for a bit that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg this is an excellent downcut bit. Just ordered a second bit today for good measure.

I use this in hardwoods, cuts well and lasts. Great value for the price.

I bought two, but one broke after the first job was finished. the second has lasted a lot longer, so I've ordered a replacement for the firsy.

Good cutter, as long as you follow the datasheet for RPM and feed to keep a chip load around 0.005
