Pipe Pro Metal Cutting Guide - 2-3/8" - Red

Made my fence job go so much faster than expected & very well made product.

I have done a lot of pipe fence welding recently and I decided to buy this to make my saddle joint marks. Buy this right now! I usually measure and free hand the marks and with this I will never do that again. Fits the pipe perfect, easy to hold with one hand and mark with the other. Not cheap. I think there is magnetic tape on the inside to hold it on but I just hold and draw and then move on. Why didn't I buy this an acre ago!

My husband used this to make two metal saw horses, notching metal to fit around pipe. It worked well, was easy to use and has good quality.

A saddle cut is different for different wall thickness. This guide only works on thin-walled pipe. I wanted to use it on pipe with a 3/16" wall. The fit is very poor. This should have been in the product description. There are websites with calculators that will draw a template for you. You can clearly see the difference when you create one for a thicker walled pipe. I made one for 3/16" walls and it made for a much better fit. Wish this had been explained before I wasted my time and money on this one.

Kinda accurate but not quite

Not much to say about this, it does what it is supposed to do. The hinge is durable and construction solid. I use this only for the fish mouth and square cuts, which are on the money. Cannot vouch for the angle slots, but have no reason to doubt they are true.
