⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently moved into an apartment in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and quickly realized how cold the floor was near the patio doors. I wasn’t really sure what to do or what to buy, but I decided to try the Woo Warmer Hot Carpet — and I’m so glad I did. It arrived quickly and works amazingly well. The difference was noticeable right away. The floor feels much warmer in that area, and the entire living room feels more cozy and comfortable, especially when coming home. I love it, my kid loves it, and even the cat loves it — which says a lot. This has been a great solution for a cold floor problem, and it honestly made the space feel more like home. Highly recommend.

Honestly a game changer for a ground-floor apartment. I live on the ground floor with pretty terrible insulation, and my floors used to feel like ice all winter. This heated carpet pad goes under my rug and makes a huge difference. My feet are actually warm now, which sounds small but completely changes how comfortable the room feels. Big bonus: I barely need to run the HVAC or space heaters anymore. This keeps the chill from coming up through the floor, so the whole space feels warmer without blasting heat. It’s quiet, low-profile, and you forget it’s even there—until you step on it. If you’ve got cold floors and don’t want to crank expensive heat all day, this is 100% worth it. Warm feet = happier life.

It's pretty nice for slab on grade floors, keeps feet warm under my living room rug. I would highly recommend getting some thick felt to lift the rest of the rug to the same level. That will help with vacuuming. I wish they made larger sizes. The power box is kinda thick and it's hard to position somewhere out of the way. If you have an outlet on a switch that makes it a lot easier to use because you can set it the way you like and then turn it on and off with the switch. You could also use one of those wifi switches. If you can position it right for the zones to be useful it's a great feature, but if not it's useless. The heating elements don't go to the edges equally. That's a lot of complaints but it is really nice and does what it's supposed to. Just takes a bit of fiddling.

Almost a great product, but fatally flawed design process. It's supposed to go under a rug, but YOU CAN'T WALK ON IT? WTF? The control box is permanently attached to the corner of the mat. The control box is flimsy, so stepping on it will destroy it. The control box is just tall enough to be a safety hazard for older people. Kids should be fine, but this product should not be used where ordinary people will walk on it. I called the manufacturer to see if I could remove the control box. They said it was "impossible" but I know that is not true. I have several rug buddies that ARE designed to go under a rug and the control box is at the end of the power cord, so it can be placed on the wall instead of under foot. They actually told me, "DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROOM." It was designed to go on the edge of a room or under furniture. The marketing team realized that it's best use is in the middle of a room. ALL of the pictures for this product show it in the middle of a room! False advertising, really, although probably unintentional - just a mistake (which could be fixed!) If the manufacturing team would listen to the marketing team, this could be a five star product. Eliminate the control box, or at least move it to the end of a cord. Another bad feature is it goes off every 6 hours! So you have to add another timer to "defeat" this "feature" If you want to heat a guest space, you have to turn it on at noon, again at 6pm, again at midnight. And then by 7AM your guest is getting cold? Wow, think it through next time. A rug you can't step on.

I live in New England, and my condo is on the ground floor right over my building’s subterranean garage. New England winters can get bitterly cold, and no amount of insulation--both built in to the floors and supplemented with area rugs--can stop my floors from becoming absolutely frigid. In the winter, there can be more than a 10 degree temperature difference between my ceilings and my floors. I tried to solve my cold floor problem by setting up fans to circulate the warm air down to the ground, but this did nothing to raise the floor temperature. In fact, the warm air ended up being cooled by the floors rather than the floors being warmed by the air. And not only was it noisy with the fans going, it also ended up increasing my heating bill. Turns out circulating the air turned the floor into a heat sink. I tried space heaters, but that was like running a 1500W hair dryer in the middle of the floor. Most of the heat went straight up, and the point-source couldn’t distribute the heat around the room very well. Heaters installed directly into the floors would be nice, but that would be thousands upon thousands of dollars to tear up the floors and install them. I stumbled onto these Hot Carpet rug warmers almost by accident, but I decided to give one a try. I sandwiched one between my rug and a rug pad on the bottom, and it worked perfectly and solved my cold floor problem immediately! With the source of heat at the lowest point in the room, it’s a barrier against the cold floor with everything above it maintained at a comfortable temperature. And because the heat is spread out over a wide area, the heat is distributed more evenly throughout the room. It worked so well, I bought two more 500W models! And even though running three rug warmers uses 1500W of electricity, my total energy bill ends up being lower. The cost of using that electricity to provide heat directly at the floor level saves the central heat from having to work as hard and ends up being both more efficient and more effective. I connect my rug warmers to smart plugs, which allows me to turn them on with a voice command for Siri/Alexa/Google and also allows for programming an automatic on/off schedule. This also allows me to position the control units under the couch or in locations that are hard to reach but also out of sight. On a final note, the company’s customer service is fantastic. The few occasions I’ve had to contact them, they’ve responded immediately and resolved my issues quickly and completely. They stand behind their product 100%. I will give this heated rug a higher rating when I get an answer about how to use it. The ad on Amazon states: "Just slip your WOO WARMER under your favourite area rug." However, in reading the instructions that came with the product, it states: "If using the Product ON a rug or flooring susceptible to heat (tiles, inlay floors, etc): Place a thin-piled rug or a blanket underneath this Product. It will prevent discoloration and distortion of the flooring, and insulation effects promote stable temperature control of the Product." So it would appear that I need to put something under this rug between the rug and the floor. Also, under Preparations before Use, the instructions state: (2) Place the "cover" over Hot Carpet. Do not use without the Cover on." There was no cover with this rug. There was nothing in the ad that wrote anything about a cover or gave the option to buy one. The instructions go on to read: Please make sure to use the Cover (either attached to this Product or sold separately) or another cover/rug/mat that you have on hand. Using this product without a cover may cause. low temperature burn injury. Again, there is nothing about a cover attached or sold separately.

I'm on my 3rd purchase of this hot carpet. Amazing product that takes the chill out of the floor during those cold winter months. Makes your room nice and cozy and helps you relax. This company stands by their product and goes above and beyond on customer support. If I had one recommendation, I wish the control unit was not attached to the rug itself.
