iBarBQ(TM) Optimum Mini Bag Heat Sealer Portable Airtight Poly Vacuum Re-Sealer w/Magnetic Back

At first it was very good. Then it died on me, and I do not know why for such a simply designed product. Heres how it works: the heating element is a thin piece of wire (clearly visable) under some burn proof material. It was sealing things up nicely before it went kaput. The caveat is that if one drags the sealer across at a consistent not too fast but not too slow rate it will seal the bag, except the good seal ONLY occurs when that wire burns through the plastic as one thin wire is naturally going to do that. It is not designed properly as wire should be wider to give a less likely to burn through seal. That said I could have lived with it sealing like that (i.e. cutting the plastic bag off, but sealing the bag), but it broke very fast & with such a simple design it should have been sturdier. Thus I am giving it 1 star. If your's does not break then I would give it more like 3 to 4 stars & not 5 as the the "cut off seal" does not give one any feeling of security like a regular bag sealer does that does not cut it to the bone - one must use it to better understand what I am talking about.

It doesn't really work well if you try to slide it straight across. I find it works better if you open and close as you move it across which of course takes longer. It's a nice idea but I've already stopped using it.

It works good but wish instructions where in the box..nothing! After putting the battery in & looking at it, I burned the tip of my finger..if you have kids, take the BATTERY out of it cuz as soon as the two piece touch, it is HOT. The pink bar on the bottom..figured it did something, does nothing or even move.

Worked ok for sealing bags. Magnet on back doesn't even come close to being strong enough to hold this up. It was really gross and dirty when it arrived and came with no instructions. I had to google how to use it.

Worked okay. If you do have a good seal from the first or your grip is off, the bag will rip on the first swipe. But doing again and again makes it easier.

Came with few or no instructions and dead batteries, but seems ok after I put good batteries in it and read online how to use it.

Product is okay cutter doesn't work as well as it should.. Use it part of the time.

product is fine and as listed, just didn't realize it would be useless
