Can i use my mavic mini batteries in the mini 2

Yes you can, but the mavic mini batteries are heavier than the mini 2 batteries, which results in the overall weight exceeding 250g, and the drone is then not in the same category according to the CAA. You should check the CAA website to check the current regulations.

On all the tutorial videos it appears that this should have come with a propellor holder / belt, but mine did not. Isn't it meant to be standard kit?

I have had two mini 2 kits now and neither came with a propeller holder/belt. The spare props are inside indivdual plastic envelopes, each one contains a pair of blades (i.e one motors prop). Not sure what vids you have seen but I watch a lot and have never seen anything loke a belt/holder, perhaps I'm missing out :-)
