Why aren’t these available in The UK? They are brilliant! Never thought I would get so excited about a windscreen wiper.

Don't waste your money, I bought them for my Honda Civic and they don't fit properly, I couldn't use them. In addition, they were open, a lack of respect

Buying these "wiper blades" was the first time I've replaced blades on a modern car with this particular system of blade design. On my earlier cars it was just a long thin strip of rubber that (sometimes with two thin strips of steel support down each side) that one would reply. I was suspicious at the whole idea of needing to reply a the entire metal blade holder just to get new wipers. In my ignorance I ordered these new Rain-X "blades". I'm happy with the new blades, in that they perfectly, no noice, perfectly remove the water, etc. I can't comment on the longevity, as I've only had them on a few days. BUT HERE'S THE CATCH. This is daylight robbery. It's a huge waste of money and resources. How on Earth did the automotive industry get away with making car owners replace the entire blade holder (which is very solidly made out of steal), which is perfectly fine, just to get a tiny little strip of new rubber? It's the equivalent of having to change the entire wheel (hub and all) every time you need a new tire. That would never be acceptable. After cringing at the fact I was now the owner of wasteful and expensive wiper blade arms / holders that have little purpose except to go into landfill, I did some digging around. Yes, thankfully, It is possible to buy just the rubber (or silicone) strip, and install it into an existing blade arm / holder. One option I see here on Amazon goes for around AU$22 for 4 (https://amzn.to/460FYe6). They are referred to as "wiper REFILLS". Failing to put "refill" into the search will likely result in only seeing expensive full blade and blade holder replacements like this product from Rain-X. Welcome to the world of car part scams and cons, for the ignorant (as I was).

Original product. Easy to fit. Wipes well. I can see clearly now the rain has gone.
