Hydromol Ointment
Hydromol Ointment. Tub size is good, Don;t really like the lid, could be better designed - with a lid that screws on fully -like the Vitamin E skin care tubs, Know this would be a change in design cost. Would be worth it for customer satisfaction, At least the contents are not liquid but a solid ointment, unlike the Vitamin E skin care moisturiser , which could leak out if accidentally dropped, thereby causing a mess. Softness of use. Easy to apply Good quality. Ideal thickness, Ideal for those with very dry skin

I get dry hands from soap
This is an okay soap substitute but I found pump brands for sensitive hands much better. This is much more suited I feel to Eczema. I simply just have sensitive hands to soap and they dry out quick. For me I just use an easier soap use soap substitute and a cream that actually soaks in. This cream takes ages to soak in and it’s extremely greasy. This means it’s highly effective for moisturising but I found I could only use it overnight with cotton gloves in. When I didn’t use gloves it did t seem to mark anything. It was too greasy to put on during the day and do activities It smelt pretty okay, but it didn’t have a nice scent to it. This is probably good though as it means no extra rubbish to irritate skin which is the point of it. It was very thick and kind of like Vaseline making it very easy to coat your hands and not get it everywhere.

Good moisturiser
Handy little travel size. Thickness of vaseline but really good for sensitive skin. Great for quick rehydration. No scent and great value for money.

Good stuff
Hydromol is good for skin hair I used it as a shampoo and soap hair feels soft silky skin feels amazing great stuff but if using it straight out of tub use sparingly as it's quite greasy I use it in shower and after shower whilst still wet

Just Ok
I used this for 2 months without much improvement. I have dermatitis and what I think would be termed barrier damage in a delicate area. I applied this Ointment several times a day. It's very messy. It forms a barrier over your skin a bit like a thick vaseline. It did soothe the skin a bit but wasn't treating the problem. It comes off on your clothes a lot too. It has no obvious smell which is good and it can also be used in the bath or shower so I will probably use mine up like that as an emollient wash. It's very good value as the tub is big and it goes a long way particularly if treating a small area. If you were trying it for a larger area you'd need to cover it before wearing clothing or sleeping otherwise things could get very messy! Perhaps this is better for eczema rather than barrier damage. I'm now trying the cream but no improvement with that yet either.
