It is a Wok, it says it is a Wok, it is not a flat fry pan, it is a Wok, works like a Wok, cooks like a Wok, it is in fact a Wok, if you want a flat frying pan you are going to have to look at that kind of a pan because this is not a flat frying pan, it is a Wok,

Can you use metal utensils in this wok?

I'm sorry, but I honestly don't know. We've only used wood and plastic. But it seems as though it would hold up, but it is so beautiful and cooks really, really well, that we didn't want to chance it. It's a beautiful addition to our kitchen and we use it often. We don't use it as a wok, we mostly use it to cook Indian curry dishes. When we fry the spices, we use wooden utensils.

Is there any silicone/rubber on the inside of the lid?

Not sure if there is a silicon/rubber seal inside the lid because the glass goes right up to the rim. These lids are very nice, I put them in the dishwasher without any problem; however, I wash the pans by hand even though they are dishwasher safe.
