Health cocoa. Add sugar and cream. Let steep at least 10 minutes.. or more. You will get
a very rich and nutritious cup of cocoa. I use a steel pan and boil water in it. When it boils I toss in a good handful of the cacao then turn off the heat. Then I add 2 or 3 tspns of white sugar and a healthy dollop of half and half. Then I let it sit and go back to work on my computer. Some time later, the scent of chocolate is permeating the house and I go back in the kitchen turn on the stove again and reheat the cocoa. After it comes to a boil I take it off and then put a steel mesh strainer over my big coffee mug and pour the mixture in. The strainer separates the raw cacao from the drink which is left hot and creamy in your cup. Delicious. I like the Ghana light roast. I also have the Nicaragua which has a stronger flavor. Sometimes I mix them if I want stronger. Although I always drink coffee black I don't recommend drinking this cacao like that. I drink coffee in the day and cacao with cream and sugar at night.

Great Coffee alternative!
I've been drinking this instead of coffee for awhile now and have no regrets! A couple ice cubes, 4/5 of the glass crio bru, and then 1/4 heavy cream and it's a dream. Pro-tip: to brew it the best possible way, slap in a half a cup of crio bru and 8 cups or so of water, little bit of vanilla, all into your instant pot, and then run that for 30 mins. It infuses the flavor way better than a french press ever could.

Decent Coffee Replacement
In an attempt to overcome a caffeine addiction, I searched out things that would help. I don't really know how much energy this stuff provides, but I feel like it does help me not "crash" in the afternoon. There are a few ways to make it, and my favorite has proven to be with a french press. I didn't own one prior, but buying one was worth it, as I feel like it does provide a more flavorful bru. They have a video on their website of how to bru it, which I followed and found to be helpful. The flavor it really unlike anything else. It's not coffee, and it's not hot chocolate, it's really something all of it's own, but is pretty good. I don't really like it without creamer, but even back when I drank coffee, I could only take it with lots of milk and sugar.I wish it wasn't so expensive, as I have to buy a new bag every week. It's pricey stuff. But if you are looking for a coffee alternative, I think this may be a solution.I feel that I have overcome my caffine addiction and I am no longer plauged with headaches in the afternoon if I don't get my fix. I don't know if that is all thanks to Crio, but maybe.

Important info!
I never write reviews but felt it was important for this product. I was absolutely dying to try this "coffee." Upon arrival, I was disappointed to read you could not use a traditional paper filter. So I ordered a reusable one off amazon which came the next day (yay!). I finally got to brew this in my coffee maker using the 2 tbl and 16 oz water. My first impression was it was tasty and similar to a chocolate tea I had had before. I was anxious to try it with a double brew which I did the next morning. This is critical to giving it the appropriate taste. (4 heaping tbl + 16 oz water.) This is the only way to get the most flavor. I added it to my coffee drink and voila. Is this something I would purchase again? Probably not but it is definitely worth a shot if you are sick of coffee and tea and looking for a low calorie replacement. *Addition - I'm not sure I would call this low calorie as it does have 20 cals per 2 tbl serving so not as quite as low as regular coffee. Good luck and enjoy!

Hits the spot
I ran this through my coffee maker and it looked weak, was worried I had to buy a French press. But it tasted very good and was similar to coffee with a cocoa smell. I will definitely buy it again, as it satisfies the urge I have for coffee without bothering my stomach. I have been off coffee for years, cheating occasionally when the craving was strong and usually regretting it. Now I can have this everyday!

Tastes Great, less acidic
I left 'coffee', and decided to try this, it tastes great, I still have energy, without the crash, AND it is better on my digestive system.

Swamp water.
A couple of us have tried numerous ways to make a passable drink with this, and so far the only way to do so is to add a lot of cream and sugar. May as well make hot cocoa. If you use a drip coffee maker, the instructions say to use only gold metal filter, not paper filters. I didn't have one and discovered that if you use a paper filter you'll be left with a puddle of water in the filter; the cocoa pellets clog up the paper quickly, unlike ground coffee. But, okay, they do warn you on the package so I can't ding them for this problem. So on to the next method.French press. They recommend 2 tablespoons per 8 oz water. After you add boiling water, wait for 8 minutes. Stir. Wait two minutes. Press. And you end up with......a bland lightly cocoa flavored liquid that looks like swamp water and tastes only a little better.I've also tried this with an Aeropress; it has a paper filter but the pressure prevents the problem with a drip coffee maker and paper filter mentioned above. Needless to say, this method didn't turn out a drinkable beverage either. You can get a halfway decent drink using a LOT of Crio Bru. But what's the point?YTBMV. (Your taste buds may vary.)

Really Amazing
I've been putting off buying this even though Tammy from Keto in the Chaos has been sipping it in a lot of YouTube videos. Some of the reviews fault the beverage for being weak. I love hot chocolate but let's face it--you can't drink a sugary, calorie high drink on Keto and expect to survive ketosis. I used a French Press to brew this--added 2.5 large tablespoons to about 12 oz of water. Don't forget that this is a major antioxyidant. I heated some 2% milk about 1/3 cup (don't judge I count these carbs) and brewed the Crio. Added stevia. It has a rich chocolate-ty taste, complicated and smooth and subtle but so interesting. LOVE it. It's my new go to when I don't want to caffeine myself up with coffee in the afternoon. Worth the price.
