1. These are excellent quality chairs. 2. They came packed by Amazon with a thin layer of protective packing insulation taped to them. It took quite a while to pull this stuff off but you could do it fast with scissors. The chairs themselves were stacked and loose in a giant box, yet there was no damage at all that I found. 3. I received double the amount of screws needed to put the seat on (a nice problem to have). 4. There are 3 pieces: the chair, the seat, and the screws 5. The seat needs to be screwed on. The bottom of the seat shows no screw holes - you just have to line it up the best you can. I have no problem with this in spite of how it sounds. You will need a Phillips head screw driver. 6. Vinyl seat is attractive, large enough for a human butt, and reasonably comfortable. It will press in a bit (air pocket in the seat). If I was getting them again I might choose the wooden seat instead of the vinyl. 7. Chair is attractive and as pictured in the ad 8. Chair feels solid and strong 9. Bottom of chair feet have a plastic stopper on them, so on wood floors you may want to add a piece of felt to prevent scratching. 10. Shipping was pretty quick. Again, the box was HUGE. I took the chairs out to move them upstairs. Enjoy!!

First the Pros: The chair is very sturdy, and looks pretty next to my white counter and is extremely comfortable. Cons: The screwing in probably requires drill gun, because the wooden seat does not have holes (or points where the screw needs to go in, and so it has to be manually marked) and it's not trivial to drive it through by hand. My chair came with a third of an inch scratch on the edge of the wooden seat. Since the whole thing was heavily bubble wrapped when it came, it's likely that the seller sent it that way, instead of it having sustained it in shipping. Since it serves its purpose in my spartan house, I don't care enough to want to return it. But it's something to be aware of.

These bar stools are incredible! They are extremely sturdy and tough; not too heavy to lift; and they have a simplistic, yet functional design. All of the reviews are spot on, and, because of the positive reviews, when I ordered 5 of these bar stools I wasn't worried in the least about quality, durability, or packaging. I couldn't be happier with this purchase, and you just can't beat the low price! The packaging was very neat and protective. I'd say give yourself about 15-20 minutes to unpack and assemble the stool (assembly consists of driving in 4 screws for the seat). Every inch of the metal frame was covered in a protective wrap. Also, be sure you do not discard the enclosed screws. They are fairly small and packaged in a tiny bag. I'd give this product 6/5 stars if I could. :)

Seat came ripped.

These are such great bar chairs!! I cannot believe they are at such a great price. They feel high quality, real metal, and the seats are comfortable. Super sturdy and came all put together, you just screw on the seats. Best of all, it shipped in 2 days. Less than 2 days, I ordered Tuesday night and they arrived Thursday afternoon. I'm so happy right now!

Love the look of these chairs and they are great quality. They came very well protected and almost fully assembled. One only needs to attach the cushion to the body of the chair. However, mine did not come with anything to attach the cushion seat to the body of the chair. Too big to return so we just placed them on and try not to make them slip off.

We had been shopping for bar stools for quite some time. From as low as $45 ea. (certainly get what you pay for here) as much as $400 ea. We were nearly about to give up when we happened to find these on Amazon. We were skeptical because we had ordered another chair from another online distributor almost solely based on the description indicating these were very sturdy. Bottom line, these turned out to be junk. Fast forward to finding these bar stools. The description said they were sturdy and reviews seem to back up the claim. Still we were skeptical because, comparatively speaking, the price was nearly unbelievable for a "sturdy" chair. What a great surprise!!! These were exactly what we were looking for! Very stylish but at a budget conscious price point. All of the visitors to our newly outfitted in-home tavern as amazed at how comfortable, attractive, and rugged these are. For the money you pay, you CANNOT go wrong here! Hercules series indeed!!!

Ordered the two pack and then ended up ordering two more. The barstools are sturdy and comfortable and had little to no damage to them upon arrival. I give them a four though because the second pair did have a couple dents in the seats and one of the bottom parts of the legs had been scraped, though it didn't affect much other than being a little wobbly. They came in two parts, the metal part of the stool and then the seat that you had to attach with some screws (you'll need a drill but it took less than 5 minutes).
