Q: There are minor cracks on the surface that I will be covering near a sink in a boat. Any suggestions on how to prepare that surface before adhering?

Believe it or not I've used automobile body filler 2 part really works wonders on multiple project not to mention strong.

Q: What's the difference between the brown and beige?

I’m not to sure ? I have the one shown and really you could call it either brown or beige. It has flecks of both. I will say it’s a nice product! I used it for contact inside my cabinets. I bought a plain white and did my countertop! It came out great. Hopefully that helped you
