The Swiss Champ knife is one of those rare tools that truly earns its reputation. I’d had mine for years—faithful, versatile, and always ready for whatever little task life threw at me. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of leaving it in my carry-on during a flight and had to say goodbye at airport security. Watching it disappear into that bin was a heartbreak only a true Swiss Army fan can understand. These knives have gotten a bit pricey over the years, but I will never not have one. It’s more than just a knife—it’s like carrying a tiny toolbox that somehow fits in your pocket. From tightening a loose screw to slicing open packages, fixing glasses, or even trimming a loose thread, it handles everything with that trademark Swiss precision. It’s solid, reliable, and just feels good to hold. Losing one was a bummer, but getting a new one felt like welcoming back an old friend. Old one was black, I wanted to try something new. Pretty cool color too.

Great SAK beautiful scales. Only thing disappointing is that the swisstech scales do not come in a plus.. no pen.

Victorinox quality, and all the tools you might need for any unexpected repair-oriented task! Plus, it looks fantastic in the Silvertech scales! It's true that the Silvertech scales do not have a slot for a pen. So what?! If you must carry a pen, get a 58mm Swiss Army Knife (SAK) that has a pen and put it on your keychain! The Champ, on the other hand, is ready to do some serious work. It's got it all, from screwdrivers, to metal file and saw, wood saw, you name it! Even a magnifying lens and fish scaler. And let's just say, if your SAK comes with a user's manual, you know it has a LOT of capability!! :) It does come with a mini-screwdriver that fits in the corkscrew, and I've used that mini driver for eyeglasses in the past. It also comes with a straight pin that fits into a slot behind the corkscrew. Also of course a toothpick and tweezers. One last note, it fits easily into the Victorinox medium lockblade nylon pouch (see pic), in case you wish to carry the Champ on your belt (must buy the pouch separately). If you believe in the ole Boy Scout motto of "Always Be Prepared," carrying this multi-tool is a good way to do that!

As my tital stated this is not too big for use. It fits just fine in a side pocket, even in the leather pouch.if you buy this knife, get the leather pouch aswell. It fits the knife great and keeps it nice. Yes it's very wide, but still gripable for people with larger hands. It's actually narrower than my cell phone,galaxy s7 edge. It's not as heavy as people exaggerate either. It's actually light for its size. The Swiss champ xlt is also a good choice.I plan on buying it and the regular champ. People really over exaggerate the weight and size of these knives. The knife comes in a nice display box that has victorinox on the outside and inside the box. I gave the knife 4 stars because it's a bit over priced. Although the Amazon price is the cheapest for this knife i have seen by 100 bucks. I guess the electronic barometer and altimeter make it expensive. The Swiss champ xlt is 235 bucks and can be had for 170 bucks at times. This knife is 425.00 from victorinox, some sellers even want as much as 700 bucks for it. Yes it's thicker,but only has 4 more layers than the xlt. The regular champ can be had for as low as 50 bucks. Usually under 80 brand new. I really think the xlt' s extra tools should not make it 3x the price of the normal champ. Maybe 120 bucks for the xlt.maybe 250 for the xavt, because of its flashlight and electronic functions. Don't get me wrong, these knives are of fantastic quality. They have the best lifetime warranty. I love and wish to start a new collection of swiss knives. This is the 2017 version, has a universal wrench, instead of the second older magnifying glass. Which I thinks more practical anyway. I do think the knife does not need x2 parcel hooks. Yes one has a filer and one does not. But it's redundant to have two. Maybe to carry heavier objects ? Also the knife has two of the same screw drivers on the back, exact same. Which is something I don't understand. I think it could be replaced by something else. This knife has everything short of a fork and spoon. Which I still don't know why swiss army knives don't have those ? Anyway. For this price, this is a great buy. For anyone who loves very thick swiss army knives, you won't regret getting this. This is a amazing knife,short of a steep price and a few repeated tools, it is awsome. I could every day carry this knife. Look forward to buying the xlt. The xlt,being smaller might be more suitable for people with smaller hands. It is not too big to carry or use at all.

If you want a good, practical, versatile, durable knive don't think it twice. Victorinox is an exceptional tool. You will enjoy it forever! Take my word.

Initially, I expected the product to feel too big to be useful, but I actually found the larger size to feel really ergonomic in my hand! The tools are all useful, compact, and sharp when necessary! I would highly recommend the leather pouch they sell for this. You can definitely slide this thing comfortably in your pocket, but with a belt pouch it's easier to access, and you won't need to worry about losing it on the move! Things fall out of my pocket all the time, and I'm not willing to let this slip away. Took me a little bit to figure out how to use the digital display since there's only a single button, but I eventually got the hang of it!

Ich habe mir zwar die Gürteltasche auch gleich mitbestellt, aber ob ich das Messer wirklich benutzen werde, kann ich jetzt noch nicht sagen, da ich ja schon sehr gut eingedeckt bin, mit einem SwissTool CS Plus, SwissChamp XLT und WorkChamp XL. Diese Meisterleistung von Victorinox in Form des SWISSCHAMP XAVT hat einfach noch gefehlt in meiner immer größer werdenden Sammlung. Die Werkzeuge sind sehr wohl benutzbar und auch einigermaßen sinnvoll angebracht. Mir fehlte auf jeden Fall noch ein Victoriniox mit eingebauter Taschenlampe und dem elektronischen "Kombiwerkzeug" (Zeit, Timer, Wecker, Barometer, Höhenmesser und Thermometer)was hier natürlich auch vorhanden ist. Mein SwissChamp XLT liegt eindeutig besser in der Hand und es lässt sich auch bei Benutzung z.B. eines Schraubendrehers viel leichter drehen. Es ist somit im Alltag benutzerfreundlicher, allerdings fehlen natürlich einige Werkzeuge, welche alle zusammen NUR im XAVT vereint sind. Wer also auf den Fall der Fälle vorbereitet sein möchte, der greift dann doch lieber zum größten und besten Victorinox, welches je die Produktionshallen der Familie Elsener verlassen hat.

Parfait, il ne faut pas négligées sa taille, pas facile de sans servir, mais il a vraiment tout se qu'il faut pour bien faire, après il faut juste s'adapter à le manipuler avec les différents outils, il peut très bien servir de décoration sur une étagère pour un collectionneur, moi je préfère m'en servir comme prévu, jai plusieurs couteau suisse dons le xlt, il mon tous toujour rendu d'excellents service et sans jamais en abîmé un, j'y fais quand même très attention, bref je pence qu'il ne faut pas avoir peur de sa taille, je le recommande tête baissé, il est d'une qualité incroyable, le prix peu faire peur en effet mais s'est quand même un victorinox garanti à vie, ne partez pas dans l'optique d'acheter un vulgaire couteau, mais plutôt un outil multifonction qui sera toujours la pour vous sortir de la galère, je recommande également son etuit en cuir spécial xavt pour le transport, moi j'ai choisi de rajouter la chaînette victorinox pour certains travaux je préfère le sécurisé en cas de chute et l'attache rapide, je le transporte dans ma sacoche ou simplement à la main, chacun son idée

I ordered this as a christmas gift for my boyfriend because he loves tools and hands on activities, and I had gotten the hint hes really wanted one of these, when it arrived his face lit up and hes been using it ever since. Proper quality for each tool, especially sharpness and has great durability with multiple convenient uses, aesthetically appealing and easy to handle, which has convinced me to get myself one, thank you!
