I can't say enough about this cordless phone! First off - it comes with a headset jack! Yes, You read that correctly - a *standard size headset jack. Very few cordless phones come with them anymore. Do a search on Amazon and you'll find very few phones with them. For other cordless phones, you have to buy an entire answering machine, extra phone headset to get one. This phone is wonderful! Comes in white and black models. It takes up little space Phone features: 1-Buttons are large and easy to read (black numbers on white background - doesn't require backlighting to read) 2-The phone stands up by itself, if you set it down to use the speaker option 3-On a call the phone does a great job of eliminating background noises on the other end of the call (perhaps on my side too; but I've not confirmed that). I talked with my boss while she called from her car and it was very clear I could hear background noises when using other cordless phones. Not this one! It takes a bit of getting used to - the call sounds so quiet, you think the other person hung up :) 4-With the headset jack still plugged in, you can switch to the speaker option and back, in quick fashion 5-Batteries are provided - the phone arrives with the back off, ready for battery insertion and phone charging. 6-The phone arrives with the ringer set at a lower volume (you can change it to what you want, or turn it off!) 7-There are 10 different ring tones. 8-You can adjust the phone volume while on a call 9-When you put the phone back on the stand, it plays a little tone, so you can tell it was put back properly. 10-*The phone power cord and phone lines plug in the Back of the charging base. Not in some weird space on the bottom where you have to bend the cord so the base sits flat. 12-The phone manual is written in English (seems to be someone who understands English - not translated from another language, using odd phrases and poor grammar). 12-The phone company is based Tennessee. A USA company - hooray! 13-Minimal packaging - just enough cardboard in the box to hold the phone items (stand, batteries, phone, charger base, charging cable and manual). Not an overabundance of cardboard and plastic, just enough. I purchased one phone for my home office (using my beloved headset for work calls) and bought another for my kitchen. I bought this phone for my Dad who is 88. It has large buttons, which are easy to read and access, and a hearing boost for the incoming call volume. It has directory and speed dial functions which are very easy to program. One other nice feature is that it takes regular AA nimh batteries, no need to buy an expensive replacement. Overall, an excellent phone for under $50.

For a cordless it works well and is clearer then most we have had. Happy with the purchase. I would recommend.

This phone meets everything I need except for volume and special ring tones for callers.

Was looking for a cordless phone with clear voice quality in & out, large keypad, easy to see CID screen, a mute button, good battery life, and comfortable to use. This is it, don't look any further. We are totally impressed that you don't have to press the ear piece against your head to be able to hear. And we don't use the "boost" feature, just have it on regular mid-volume. Everyone says our voice quality is perfect. It's a little bigger phone that most cordless and easier to hold. Had it two weeks and love it so far. UPDATE 6/7/2017: Just over two years old. Within the last month the buttons almost stopped working, had to press on them very hard. Then yesterday the phone quit altogether. Very disappointing. I'm changing it from 5 stars to 1 star.

Pretty great. She never liked cordless phones but now needed to take the phone around in her walker. The clarity and volume are good. Shes still learning the buttons. She wishes the caller ID part was bigger so she could tell quicker who is calling

I bought this for my mom, she has the macular disease and has lost 50% of her sight. This phone she can see and use with no problem I looked for months around for a phone like this, I read lots of reviews and this is by far the best I found. Quality is good and my mom is pretty happy she can dial numbers on her own! The hearing feature works very well also.
