Another great product from Bucklos
It's getting harder to find 26in wheels for those of us who like to retrofit vintage bike frames. This made a great addition to my Rockhopper build. Im even running it tubeless without any issues. Very little bearing resistance - great roller. After 200 miles its running true. Great for the price in my opinion.

Finished Look at a Bargain Price
These Bucklos wheels look and sound great. The freewheel clicking reminds me of a fishing reel during a cast. I replaced my 23 year old wheels because the rim surface was too rough for the v-brakes. In order to upgrade to disc brakes, I needed new wheels. I chose these with the red anodized hubs. I peeled off some of the large BUCKLOS decals for a more subtle look, every day riding. So far I’ve ridden them about 30 miles. I’ve discovered my old bike rides like a brand new bike with these wheels and disc brakes. Well worth the cost and time spent on bicycle mechanics.

7 SPOKES BROKEN IN 6 MONTHS!
Initially, i rated these as well engineered wheels, etc. NOW (8/19/22, THEIR VERY DISHEARTENING, to remain pleasant about it). 1st, after two months, 2 SPOKES Broke, both in back. Then a month later(approx.), 1 in front and 1 in back Broke. Anyway, (Sorry, but I'm ticked-off here after having had to walk 3-4 Miles, just an hour ago, after 2 more rear SPOKES Broke), and having Dabilitating Neurological Damage to the bottoms of both feet making the journey, "wonderfully" PAINFUL, Brother, THIS IS PATHETIC! 7 SPOKES IN 6 or so Months! i've riden bikes for over 50 years, and NEVER...EVER gas there been a BROKEN SPOKE, NEVER! Now, i've got 7! And believe me, at 70 I'm a lot slower, and avoid climbing 'trees', hoppin' 8" curbs and hangin' on the back of trucks, now, so what's up..."BUCKLOS"?

Great Wheel, Tubeless ready
While this wheel doesn't say so, it is tubeless ready. Just add some PMP Tubeless Rim Tape 23 mm (Amazon), a stan's tubeless stem and some stan's sealant and you're up and running. Very good quality and comes with the skewer and a spacer. My 10 ring XTR cassette fit perfectly with the included spacer. I bought the 26inch wheel to refurb a Gary Fisher Sugar 1 and it works great. Replaced a Mavic wheel. While I didn't weigh it, this wheel felt about the same weight as the Mavic which is very light.

Bucknos, hight quality wheels and bicycle parts
This is a beautiful wheel. If ai bought the exact same wheel from a know bike company,mI would have paid 75 to 100 more. My mechanic marveled what a great wheel this is.

Good. Could be better.
The clicking while coasting is louder than any bike I’ve ever had. Some refer to it as “angry bees”. I agree with the term but it also kinda grows on you. I rarely need to signal when I’m coming up behind someone. I simply stop pedaling and let “the bees” do the talking! I noticed, as others have, after a couple hundred miles, the cassette was lose. I had to add in a 7speed spacer (mine is a 9 speed) in order to be able to properly tighten the cogs down. Who knows what that could do in the long run. Overall, I probably won’t buy one again but will run it into the ground while it’s still working.

Awesome set of wheels.
I bought this wheel set along with the Bucklos 26" 100×9 120mm air suspension fork to upgrade the Specialized Hardrock to disc brakes. The pawls for the free hub are very responsive and strong. You're not going to sneak up on anyone out on the trail with these. If if you have an 9 speed cassette or smaller, you will need a spacer. I have a few bike parts and I tried a 9 speed cassette and when I tightened down the cassette lock nut, the cassette was still loose. I went with the original 8 speed cassette with space and have had absolutely no issues. I read where some people were having issues with the quick releases on these wheels. They must have fixed the problems because I have not had a single issue. The holes drilled for the disc brakes were perfect. Had no issues with burs inside the rim. Perfect for the bike I'm using them for.

Unuseable
Unfortunately, despite the wheel looking awesome, it was anything but. It barely fit in the frame (standard size) and when tightened down, it wouldn't move at all. Given that this has happened to others, it appears to be a design flaw. I purchased an American made DT Swiss wheel for the same $$ and it's flawless. Don't waste your money

Mauvaise conception du mécanisme de moyeu, la roue ne peux plus tourner une fois serré. Une etoile juste parce que j'ai été remboursé sans problème.

My bike mechanic had to operating on bearings as the wheel would not seat without seizing.
