I have naturally fine, curly hair in the back but the front of my hair is more wavy than curly. I was going to go to a salon to get a perm in the front (for $200) but very hesitantly decided to try and do it myself and the results were amazing! At first there was some frizz in the permed area. I didn’t wash by hair for 3 full days after but when I did, the permed curls looked and felt soft, frizz free, with the perfect amount of lose curls! ❤️ Will buy again!

I haven't permed my hair for a long time and I wanted a good home perm. How lucky that I found - only on Amazon - the exact perm that I used to use! This is a great perm, and works well with no noxious smells and odious procedures. It was exactly as I remembered it with the exception of one minor change. It came out beautifully with no burned ends to my hair, which was left soft and beautifully natural looking after letting it dry on its own. I just needed to fluff it up a bit, and it looks natural and attractive. The natural curl had gone out of my hair a while back, and I wanted to gently repalce it. Ogilvie is the best product to do this. I've tried others in the past, and none of them ever came up to an Ogilvie. Buy this and you won't be disappointed IF you follow the instructions and time the steps.

Perfect perm

Worked fine, but curls didn't seem to last as long as other brands.

Hair all rolled up, standing at the mirror. Heat Activator bottle is empty. Not a drop of anything in the bottle. Major bummer. Called the phone number on the package insert to complain. Answering service was for Helen of Troy group of brands. They don't own this product anymore; it's now owned by HRB. Called HRB. Was told that they don't offer refunds or replacements -- their rep told me to contact the store. I pointed out that this is a manufacturer problem, not an Amazon problem or a vendor problem. Whatever. HRB ships out this product with a crucial component missing and takes no responsibility for defects. Not a problem for them - they just expect Amazon or the vendor to cover it.

Gentle product for aging hair. Smell not terrible. Body curls. Good value.

I have used this product for many years because it leaves my poker-straight hair soft with just enough body and curl. It lasts a long time and softens as it grows out. I have used other products purchased from beauty-supply as well as professional perms, the Ogalvie perms work the best for me.

No smell. Comes with the papers. Really good product
