First, this is a highly scented candle. Even with the windows open, I wound up burning it in another room (where I wasn’t) because it was a little overwhelming. Everything about the candle seems high quality, including the presentation. I would definitely buy another candle from this chandler - the only thing that’s really an issue is the price. For daily burn candles, this price point is a little too high for me. As for the Black Beard scent, it’s lovely. And that’s a weird comment to make about a candle that is supposed to smell like gunpowder and charred hickory. All noses are different, but this to me is straight-up floral. No smoke at all. I don’t really pick up on wood, either. Not sweet or perfumy, but definitely not masculine. It reminds me of YC Storm Watch, but with the warning that it’s been over a decade since I smelled that particular YC scent. To put this into perspective, I bought this candle on what is appearing to be a quixotic quest to replace my D.L. & Co. “Winchester” candles. Winchester is a sophisticated, floral-noted candle, but it is heavier in smoke and wood notes. Black Beard, in contrast, is all floral to me. Normally, I don’t like floral candles at all, but I like this one. It’s floral without making you feel like you just walked into a department store perfume section. Stargazer lily is what keeps popping into my head, but that’s what I think whenever I run across a floral candle that I actually like. =)

OK . . . I'm a candle junkie . . . I've always been fascinated by them . . . light them in my home all the time . . . absolutely enjoy them . . . Yes, I have problem. So, over the years, I've come across my fair share of terribly designed, horribly scented and malfunctioning candles . . . and for the most part, you get what you pay for, save a few. The candles from Fury Bros are in a class of their own. If you order one, you should expect to receive a product that is a cut-above the rest. Don't get me wrong . . . they aren't inexpensive candles by any means . . . but in my opinion, they're definitely worth the extra cash. This time, I ordered the Supra 56 model and was completely satisfied. The excellent graphics and retro styling, make it a worthy gift for someone special, and the scent is by far one of the best I've come across (masculine, but unique). For the first few days, I did not even light the candle as each time I removed the lid, the scent filled the room soon thereafter without the need of a flame. However, after lighting, the scent was even better. Another excellent Amazon find! I will definitely repurchase.

Unless you like the smell of burning electrical wires, move on. I bought the saddle leather and pine scent thinking this would be good for a post and bean camp. Once I opened it, the smell of burning electrical wires filled my house. I thought something else went wrong but after lighting it the stink became stronger. Tried in another location, same. Definitely not with the money, even if it smelled accurate, size is small and not that attractive.

I love this candle.. it smells great and burns really clean. The fact that it is made from soy and in the US is a huge plus. Most candles are made of paraffin wax, a petroleum waste product that creates toxic carcinogens when burned. Soy candles do not have that problem. I also love supporting US based companies. I can't wait to try all the scents. I highly recommend this candle. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you Fury Bros!

1st of all, this candle smells very clean & hygienic! It doesn't however smell like gunpowder & leather. Not even close. But, to be fair, it smells quite awesome! It makes my entire entertainment/living room smell fantastic for company, & the occasional deer that wanders into my house. (just kidding...) All in all, I'd say this candle is a cross between that out of the shower effervescence, & freshly cleaned laundry. With perhaps an axle greased up t-shirt! Good stuff!!!

It's not a candle, it"s a mandle. Ladies, do you want to make your dude happy? Saddle leather, pine, citrus. Men. ask your lady to make you happy. Enough with the sage and rosemary. This is clean, clear and manly. Is there anyway you guys can make a ceder, PB Blaster, and pine candle? I'm ordering 4 more saddle leather, pine, citrus...now. Well done.

I had high hopes for a "gunpowder" smell, as advertised. But it smells like patchouli. Very disappointed. I'd send it back but I had to fire it up to know how it smelled. Too bad.

Does not burn evenly. Smell gets overwhelming with repeated use. They do last a decent amount of time. Overall, for the price point there are better options.
