Most frequent trigger point tool after 10 years of usage
I bought this 10 years ago. I also own many other trigger point tools and gadgets, from rollers to advanced massage guns. After 10 years of owning it and many tech improvements along the way, this one is still the one that I find most useful and use most frequently. As I got more experienced & comfortable with trigger point therapy an muscle release, I started to understand the genius and solid design of this tool more and more.Definitely recommended, there is no magic in it but quite close to it.

Perfect and portable instant relief for muscles!
Maybe someone used a dog toy for a massage tool and came up with this. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful little thing. On the stand or just using it by hand those little nubs are just the right size and firmness to dig deep and get tissue and muscle feeling good. Can pack it if you need, nice and small!

Works well- digs into the muscles without sticking them like a pin.
Easy to use, works the muscles, you can vary the intensity yourself

Decent but I wish it was bigger
It does a good job digging into the spots that give me pain but I wish this was bigger and was flat on one side so that it doesn't move. The pictures make the beastie look bigger than it is.I use it mainly on my upper back (scapula/traps/rhomboids). I like a lot of pressure. I normally get the deep tissue massages or the ones where someone walks on your back but can't right now due to the pandemic. I love the sensations I get when I'm able to use the pressure that is generated by my body weight and the beastieto scrape muscles/tendons against bone. More pain equals more relief!I also wish i could keep the beastie in one spot. As I wriggle back and forth on the ground, it invariably moves away from the spot that I want so I have to constantly reposition it. I tried the stand the it comes with but it didn't help at all. I have a generic pair of balance pods from j/fit. I don't use them for balance. I place them spiky end up on the ground and roll back and forth on them. They are nice and stable but the spiky protrusions aren't as big or firm as the ones on the beastie.Does anyone know of a product that is the size of the j/fit (and flat on one side) and has the firm large protrusions of the beastie?

Good for piriformis or coccyx pain
I have what I believe is a cross between piriformis syndrome and coccyx pain from weight training and kickboxing. There is a spot, right where my tail bone meets the buttocks on the left side that was impossible to reach with a lacross, tennis or any other one dimensional ball. I needed something with an edge that could poke that small area not quite between the buttocks but at the ridge of it.At first, I was turned off by the price. Because I had bought other balls on recommendation from other athletes and they were useless. This thing sat in my cart for weeks. Until I finally could not stand the pain anymore. The first day I used it I almost cried from the pressure. It is intense but I knew it was working. About 2-3 days in, I was finally getting relief. I use it faithfully. Not everyday it’s too hard for that. But at least every other day.My boyfriend laughs because I’m on the floor with it going ohhhhhhh yeaaaaahhhh, lol just lost in space blissfully enjoying the painful goodness of working that knot out. Soooo satisfying. I didn’t regret this purchase at all.

It really works, just be careful...
If you've ever tried foam rollers, tennis balls, and in my case baseballs, and still found them lacking, then this thing is the nuclear option you are looking for. I've used it consistently every night or every other night, and my IT band pain is nearly gone. I've used it just about every time that it flares up and this forces it to calm down every time. I'm now very close to pain free because of this and consistent stretching.Just be very careful with this thing and work your way into it slowly as you figure out where you need to apply pressure. I've gotten where I can pretty much put most of my 200+ pound weight into certain areas of my hip/upper leg with the only thing keeping me up being the spikes and one arm for balance. My nerves on one side I'm sure are shot to some degree since I can't do the same on the other side without giving in to the pain as fast. And like I said before and will say again, be really careful as it can also cause injury if you apply too much pressure to the wrong spots.

It hurts sooooo good. If you're at the least bit delicate
Just got this yesterday. I have the black long rumble roller and have been using it for a number of years -- the black is the extra firm one, so I ordered the extra firm on this too. I also have a whole collection of other fascia release tools. To be honest, when I touched the Beastie the first time I thought maybe I went too far, maybe this is going to be too hard for me and I should have gone with the regular. Doesn't seem to have much if any give. But I tried it out last night and then again this morning. It certainly does the job! It hurts sooooo good. If you're at the least bit delicate, go for the regular, but if you're like me, a 5'4" past-middle-aged 128 pound lady who seems to be made of tough stuff, go for the firm. Seriously, not everyone can take it, so evaluate yourself. If you like deep deep tissue massage and don't find it too painful, then this is for you. If you prefer lighter-touch massages, go for the regular. Either way, though I have a whole collection of other self-massage fascial release tools, I'm glad I have this one too.

If you are into the deep tissue
Are you thick like me?? This thing freaking rules!! It hits places in my neck that I did not know existed. Also amazing for digging in behind shoulder blades and other hard to reach places like deep in thighs/hips. I cannot live without this now that I have experienced it, this is the same feeling I had after my first experiences with foam rollers. I started out with the normal ones and they were great at first but after awhile I needed more. Progressed to using aggressive style foam rollers and have been on them for a long time now, they still work great for me but this device has upped my deep tissue game to a whole new level.
